A man named Rick Netshiozwi, known as @ricknetshiozwi on TikTok, has revealed what he believes is the most significant indication that a marriage is deteriorating. However, opinions on Rick’s perspective appear to be divided among internet users.
Rick started by suggesting that “one of the greatest signs of a dying marriage is when a relationship has a void of touch.” He elaborated, mentioning changes such as reduced hugging, altered kissing habits, and a decline in engaging in activities together as often as before.
Rick further explained, “When you sleep, this person’s half is their half. That other half is your half, your feet don’t even touch anymore.” According to him, this is a “clear sign” that the marriage is “on its way to its deathbed.”
Rick continued, explaining, “Touch is a critical component for marriage, and one of the ways to see that touch has truly gone and has truly left is when the minute you touch each other as a married couple, there is a weird energy that flows. That is a symbol that you are drifting apart quicker than lightning strikes a tree on a day that there is a storm.”
However, the video has sparked a division of opinions on the internet, with many disagreeing with this alleged “clear sign” of marriage failure.
One TikTok user countered, “It’s a clear sign that we all want a good night’s sleep.” Another commented, “Nobody kisses as much as the beginning, get real.” A third voice added, “Not true necessarily, as we age things change, especially functionally.”
A fourth commenter expressed, “Nooo… every relationship is different. Wants and needs are between the couple.”
One dissenting voice emphasized, “Or you are so content and comfortable in your own skin that you enjoy your own space and don’t feel the constant need to validate each other.”
On the other hand, some viewers completely aligned with Rick’s perspective.
“My marriage was like that and almost did die,” disclosed one viewer.
A second person wrote, “So true.”
“Listen to this guy… he is 100 per cent on this,” supported a third, while a fourth echoed, “Wow groundbreaking thank you for this.”
Another commenter stated, “On point, sir.”
