Man Who Refused to Split $4600 Dinner Bill Sparks Heated Debate

A video showing a group of diners fighting over splitting the $4600 dinner bill has gone viral and sparked a heated debate on social media.

On Monday, TikToker @viccgotti, real name Victor Christian, shared a video on his account with over 1.4 million followers, which shows him arguing with his group over how they should split the expensive dinner bill.

The video showed Christian and his group dining out at a very expensive restaurant with hot towels and fancy drinks. One of the group mates had her birthday, and everyone ordered different things. Some members ordered pricier food items and drinks than others, and after dinner, they debated if they should split the bill equally or if everyone just paid for what they ordered for themselves.

“WHO WAS WRONG IN THIS SITUATION? THAT BILL WAS OVER 4600 dollars,” Christian captioned his video with over 15 million views on TikTok.

The text on the clip reads, “She wanted everyone to split the bill for her bday dinner.”

“I’m only paying for what’s on the check, I’m not splitting the bill,” the TikToker said in his video.

One of the other diners also sided with Christian. However, others fought over this narrative and said the bill should be divided equally among all friends.

In a second video clip, Victor shared the story in detail and wrote, “YALL STORY TIME THIS GIRL WAS MY BEST FRIEND SINCE THE 3rd grade … and she got in frint of her other friends ans started acting funny with me they call me and our friends broke because we didnt want to pay a 4600 dollar bill.”

The clip received over 3 million views on the video-sharing platform and thousands of comments.

Both videos received a massive response from the public, and people were divided in the comment section – while some argued that one should only pay for what one orders, others said the total bill must always be divided equally among people who hang out as a large or small group in a restaurant.

“Splitting the bill for me is you pay your stuff I pay my stuff end of story,” one wrote.

“I’ll never understand split the bill… like why would someone pay for half of someone else’s food?? That’s so weird to me,” a second said.

“Why pay 500$ when I only ate a 20$ salad???” a third agreed.

“You don’t split the bill you pay your portion and give towards the birthday girl or boy food,” another said.

“They ordered stuff they wouldn’t normally order thinking others were going to pay for them. I pay for what I eat and maybe the meal of the birthday,” someone wrote.

“Baby if my meal was $20 and yours is $120 I ain’t splitting nothing,” one TikToker commented.

“Them yelling in the fancy restaurant is making me mad and embarrassed,” commented another.

“it’s my bday. why should I pay” and me here thinking isn’t she supposed to paid for the whole thing coz she invited them?” asked another.

“Am I the only one that doesn’t expect to be paid for even on my birthday? I don’t need my friend paying for me if they want that’s cool just her,” said someone else.
