The couple has confirmed that they are dating after months of speculations about romance.
In an interview with News.au.com, James, 36, and Evelyn, 27, who was recently spotted kissing and cuddling on their date night in Sydney, Australia, confirmed the happy news and said,
“We are in a relationship. This is [our] hard launch,” Evelyn told the outlet.
The Maxim cover girl added that the interview was their hard launch.
“This is Evelyn and Duncan’s hard launch. It feels good to finally just say it and it feels kind of exhilarating in a weird, freeing way,” she added.
Answering a question about how their romance started, James explained, “We started hanging out a little bit after the show. Everyone’s sort of friends in the cast, and obviously me and you living in Sydney we probably hung out a little bit more.”
“All of a sudden we went out on a couple of nights, and some of the warm fuzzy feelings happened in my stomach and I thought, ‘What’s this? How we going here?’” he continued. “Then… one thing led to another.”
Last month, the MAFS stars were spotted kissing while enjoying a romantic date night in Moore Park, Sydney.
“The pair looked smitten on their night out, and Evelyn even jumped on her hunky boyfriend’s shoulders for a piggyback ride,” according to a Daily Mail report that also revealed that the couple has been seeing each other for quite some time now and has been on multiple romantic dates.
“They’re not boyfriend or girlfriend or anything like that, but they’re going on dates and telling friends they’re seeing each other,” a source revealed at the time, adding that they really like each other but don’t want to give their relationship a name yet.
“They are both into each other, but don’t want to put a label on it yet.”
During their recent interview with News.au.com, when the reality stars were asked if their fellow brides and grooms on the show knew that they were together. They said everyone was happy when they got to know about their romance.
“Have you told your fellow brides and grooms that you’re together, and what did they say?” the pair was asked.
“We have been welcomed as a couple in the most positive way,” said Ellis.
“Obviously [we] gave Rupert a call as well, and got the blessing from Rupert! He was very supportive as well,” added James with a smile.
The lovebirds also said they have been on several romantic dates, including trips to a secluded beach, motorbike rides, and seafood picnic parties.
“That’s the part I’m really looking forward to once we’ve come out and said that we’re in a relationship,” Duncan admitted. “We can do all those fun things, and not have to sneak around and share all those great moments together.”
