Maybe you’re not exactly where you planned to be in life right now. Maybe you had this whole vision for yourself that you’re just failing to manifest into reality. Maybe you had so many dreams for yourself that you’re just failing to reach at the moment. That’s okay. You have to know that maybe it’s because God is trying to teach you that you shouldn’t be judging your life based on how other people are living theirs. Maybe God is just trying to tell you that you shouldn’t have to constantly be living up to the expectations that other people are setting for you.
Maybe God is trying to tell you that even though you have grand dreams for yourself, these dreams aren’t always going to be meant to me. And you’re going to have to learn to detach yourself from your dreams no matter how hard it might be to do so. Maybe the real lesson is you being able to distance yourself from the things that aren’t meant for you. Maybe the real lesson is for you to redefine your ideas of success, contentment, and happiness. Maybe you need to find a sense of accomplishment in other aspects of life.
Maybe the reason that you’re still single is because God believes that you’re still unprepared for what real love is going to require from people. Maybe God still wants you to explore other kinds of love so that you can gain a better appreciation for what love truly is. Maybe God wants you to figure out how to fall in love with your friends and family first. Maybe God is trying to teach you the value of being able to find a sense of completion in various different types of love; the non-romantic kinds. Maybe you need to be learning the value of being able to find a sense of completion within yourself.
Maybe God just wants to teach you to stop trying to find validation from other people. Maye God wants you to stop being so dependent on the approval of other people for your happiness. Maybe God wants you to learn about independence; and how your life doesn’t necessarily have to be defined by your relationship status. Maybe God wants you to live a life of freedom; maybe He thinks that you need more time to yourself to go around and explore the world around you. Maybe God doesn’t want you to be tied down to a relationship or to anyone in particular just yet. Maybe God wants you to take baby steps before you start running into the unknown.
Maybe God still isn’t done teaching you a few lessons that you need to learn before you can find success in love. Maybe God has a whole lesson plan and curriculum prepared for you; and he doesn’t want you to be moving on to the next level just yet. He wants you to be able to go through the proper process. He wants you to go through the necessary steps. Maybe God hasn’t given you what you wanted because he wants to be able to teach you persistence and resilience. Maybe He wants you to learn about dealing with disappointments and setbacks. Maybe God is trying to teach you how to overcome hurdles; that life isn’t always going to go the way that you want it to.
Maybe God is trying to teach you to not take life so seriously. Maybe God is telling you that even though doors are constantly closing themselves on you, you don’t have to be discouraged. Maybe God is trying to teach you to always look on the brighter side of things; to always seek the silver lining. Maybe God is trying to teach you to be more flexible. Maybe He wants you to learn the value of being able to adjust whenever life isn’t dealing you the cards that you want. Maybe God thinks that there are many facets of your personality that still need time to mature; and that’s why you aren’t getting the things that you want just yet.
Maybe God is making you wait because he wants you to learn how to let go. Maybe God knows that the things that you want for yourself are less than what you’re deserving of. And He wants you to be able to learn to let go of the things that you want so you can get the things that you deserve. Maybe God is just teaching you how to prioritize. Maybe God is trying to teach you how to break free from all of your obsessions and fantasies.
Maybe God is making you wait because he knows that you’re just going to screw everything up if He’s going to give you everything that you want right now. Just learn to trust in God’s timing and His better judgment.
