A mum was left traumatized after she found that her friend breastfed her baby in her absence not once but twice.

TikTok user @afieqahhasanah, who has more than 522K followers on her account, shared her story in a now-viral video and said she was shocked to see what her friend did behind her back.

According to the translation of the video by Asia One, the Malaysian mum left her baby Haider in the care of a friend as she had to prepare for a gathering.

β€œAt the time, I was busy carrying things, and when I arrived, she asked me for Haider, so I just gave him [to her] because she was someone close to me. I didn’t expect that she could do such a thing,” the mum explained in her video.

β€œBut suddenly while I was carrying those things, I saw that she was, like, doing something at the back in an open hall. Turns out, she was breastfeeding Haider.”

The distraught mother further said that when she confronted her friend about her action, she said she only did it because Haider was crying and she thought he was hungry.

According to the user, she had just breastfed her son before handing him over to her friend, so she didn’t accept her excuse.

β€œI couldn’t accept her excuse and I don’t know … I’ll be haunted by this incident,” she said. β€œWhich mother can accept her baby being directly breastfed by someone else while the mother herself has breastmilk?” Parental consent in child care is a critical issue that often sparks heated discussions among parents. Many believe that clear communication and boundaries are essential to ensure children are cared for in a way that aligns with their family’s values. It is important to navigate these conversations with sensitivity and an understanding of each parent’s perspective.

Worst of all, it didn’t happen once but twice – according to the TikTok user, her mother caught the friend breastfeeding her baby again a few days later.

β€œThe second time, it was my mother [who caught her]. Now, I’m having a tough time shaking it off my mind,” she added. β€œIt’s difficult for me to trust other people now. I’m very disheartened. I take good care of my children, ensuring that nobody randomly kisses or hugs them because I’m afraid of them getting infected by diseases.”

The video amassed almost 3 million views on TikTok and received thousands of likes and comments. In the comment section, women, especially mothers, expressed their anger and frustration about the incident and empathized with @afieqahhasanah.

β€œHow can anyone even do that without thinking!? It’s so frustrating to hear this,” one wrote.

β€œNew fear unlocked,” a second said.

β€œI don’t know what to say anymore, how could anyone do this? You should have taught your friend a good lesson so that she would never do such a thing again. Also, she is a disgusting woman,” a third added.

β€œI’d kick that friend’s a**. How dare she do that????!” wrote another.

β€œOh my, I am sorry you had to go through this and I understand that you are angry but never trust your baby with anyone. No man or woman is trustworthy nowadays. Better be careful next time,” another said.
