When you fall in love with someone, you are always going to make sure that you make the time for them. You aren’t going to consider it a burden or a chore to plan dates with them. You won’t act like you’re too busy to actually respond to a text message from them. You would never ever make that person feel like it would be too much of a hassle to accommodate them into your life. Because that’s what love is – it’s about making sure that the person you love knows just how much you value and treasure them.
We all have to remember that time is a scarce resource in this life. We all want more of it – every single day. We try to bargain for as much time as we can to get so many things done. And yet, a lot of us still feel like the time that we’re given is never enough. But we always have to make do with the time that we have because it’s not something that we can purchase in a store. And so it’s perfectly reasonable for us to only make time for the things that are of absolute importance to us. These are the things that we need to devote a lot of our energy and attention to. These are the things that really mean the most to us. And that’s why none of us are ever really busy. We all have the time. Its just that we choose to allocate our tame for the things that we care about most in this world.
That’s why when the person who supposedly loves you tells you that they’re just too busy for you; that they just don’t have time for you, then don’t buy it. It’s not true. He has the time. He just doesn’t want to give it to you. He’s not busy; he just can’t be bothered to give you any of his attention right now. And that’s definitely not what love is about. That’s definitely not what love should look like in a healthy relationship.
When you’re in love with someone, you aren’t passive about it. You aren’t going to play the role of a mere spectator in your love life. When you truly love someone, you are going to want to grab hold of that love and nurture it the best way that you can. You are going to want to make sure that that love flourishes and shines like the sun. You are going to want to make sure that your love never dies; that it lives on in burning glory with the stars. When you’re truly in love with someone, you won’t have to make that person work so hard just to accommodate them into your life. You wouldn’t be making them feel like it’s such a hassle for you to be hanging out with them. You wouldn’t be irritated by the fact that they text you in the middle of the day just to check up on you. These are things that would never apply to a person who is truly in love.
When you really love someone, you do whatever you can to organize your life in such a way that your love grows stronger. When you find that your stresses at work are demanding too much of your time, you put your head down and you work through it. You try your best to get as many things done as possible with the time you’re given because you don’t want to compromise a single second of your love. When you’re truly in love with someone, you wouldn’t have any problems rearranging your schedule just to make sure that you get to spend at least a few hours every week together; to spend time together just bonding and getting closer to one another. You always want to make sure that you are constantly strengthening your love; and you know that in order to do so, you need to dedicate your time to it.
We all know that the best things in life never come easily nor quickly. The best things in life always require substantial effort and patience. They are always going to take time. And make no mistake about it; love is the single best thing that you could possibly experience in this life. And if you want true love to be manifested in your own life, you are going to have to make the time for it. When it comes to love, you can’t afford to be too busy. When it comes to love, you can’t afford to be too distracted.
You always need to be able to give time to the things (and the people) that mean the most to you. And if you fail to do so, maybe they don’t mean as much to you as you might have initially thought.
