The ladies have broken their silence on the ‘so-called’ feud.
Selena Gomez, 30, took to her Instagram stories on Friday and asked her followers to stop sending hate and negative energy to Hailey Bieber as the latter reached out to Gomez after receiving multiple death threats.
“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” Selena wrote.
“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
This is not the first time Selena has asked her followers to be kinder – earlier this month after her fans trolled Hailey on Instagram, Gomez urged people to stop the negativity.
The last few weeks saw Selena, Kylie, and Hailey going viral on social media after the latter two shaded Gomez.
After Selena’s message, Hailey has spoken out and posted a story on her Instagram a while ago in which she thanked Gomez for speaking out against the hateful criticism.
“I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I,” wrote Hailey.
“The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together,” she continued.
“Things can be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself.”
“In the end I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy or compassion.”
Not only have they finally addressed the drama that has been going on since February, but Selena and Hailey have also followed each other on Instagram.
And again fans have different things to say about the new twist in the drama.
