According to Australian dating expert Louanne Ward, who has been helping couples for 25 years, men choose their romantic interests differently than women. She emphasizes that ‘what they value isn’t always what you think.’
While acknowledging that ‘not all men are created equal,’ Ward has compiled a list of seven traits that most men look for in a woman. She says, “Some of these things may be less important to certain men, but there are things on this list all men care about and need in a relationship. I think you know which ones they are. And don’t shoot the messenger… I’m just going to speak some truths.”
Taking the top spot for ‘irresistible’ qualities is a woman’s ‘aptitude to exude femininity.’
Louanne, the seasoned dating expert, makes it clear that this isn’t about being a ‘feminist’ but rather embodying ‘feminine power’ and ‘feminine energy.’
And evidently, the ‘surefire way’ to repel a man is to project an ‘I don’t need a man’ vibe. YAWN! Following closely – and unsurprisingly – a woman’s appearance plays a substantial role in her appeal to the average guy.
However, it’s not just about makeup or hairstyling; it’s about ‘how you care for yourself, your living space, your well-being, and how you care for them.’
Securing the third spot on the list is a woman’s knack for managing her emotions, as men seeking love seem to favor those who are ‘rational’ in their approach. Louanne clarified, “Being vulnerable is different than being irrational.”
“Be able to discuss your emotions rather than going on a rant, rave, blame, or nag.”
Another aspect that can allegedly make men unable to resist your charm is your ability to be supportive.
In this context, men purportedly desire women who will champion their career goals and biggest dreams. This one resonates with many – we all appreciate someone looking out for us.
Surprisingly, at the fifth spot – not higher on the list – is a woman’s sex drive, with Louanne noting, “I’m sure that’s not a big surprise to anyone.”
Following that is a woman’s capacity to ‘own your own stuff.’ This doesn’t refer to possessions like a house or car but being able to take responsibility for your mistakes and apologize for them.
Lastly, a trait that men supposedly find ‘irresistible’ is displaying care and kindness. “This is your ability to show appreciation, give compliments, and say thank you,” as explained by Louanne. “Of course, this is just a very basic list, and I’m not suggesting that all men care about all of these things, but there are a few on there that all men care about.”
Well, maybe they’re not all as superficial as we initially thought.
