The Heard-Depp Saga continues with some fresh revelations. In an article by TMZ, more revelations are revealed in the previously sealed documents. According to reports, a transcript of a deposition detailing the fingertip incident in Australia has been included. This has been told by Amber’s sister’s former boss, who claims Whitney admitted her sister was responsible.
Jennifer Howell is an art curator whom Whitney Henriquez worked for during that period. During her own questioning by Johnny’s attorneys, Jennifer allegedly admitted that in 2015, Whitney personally related the ugly episode to her.
Unsealed documents include the transcript of a deposition given by Jennifer Howell, Heard’s former boss, who describes the moment Whitney Henriquez was allegedly notified about the grisly incident in Australia by Heard.
“She just screamed, ‘She’s done it now. She’s cut off his Goddamn finger,’ and made this huge proclamation. And I pushed my chair back. I was like, ‘What?’” Howell told Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez.
“And she goes, ‘She cut off his finger. She cut off his finger.’ And then she bolted out the door and was like, ‘I got to call somebody. I got to call somebody,’” Howell added.
Vasquez asked Howell if Henriquez specified who “she” and “he” were in her statement, and Howell replied: “It was Amber and Johnny, and she apparently had thrown a bottle and cut off his finger, is what (Henriquez) reported when she came back in from whoever she talked to outside.”
“I said that I had smashed it in these large accordion doors,” the actor said from the stand. “I didn’t want to get (Heard) in trouble. I tried to just keep things as copacetic and as easy as possible for everyone. I did not want to put her name in that mix.”
In Fairfax, Virginia, seven jurors decided in favor of the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor and awarded him over $10 million in damages.
It was determined that the 36-year-old actress had defamed Depp for the domestic abuse claims she made in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed.
It was determined that Heard must pay $8 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in damages; however, she claimed that she did not have the funds to cover the full amount.
