Growing up, I always used to believe that loyalty was one of the most important traits you could ever look for in a romantic partner. I was always taught to believe that a relationship would be so much better if I found a guy who would stay loyal to me throughout the course of our relationship. Of course, I also looked for other things in a partner such as respect, love, patience, and sensitivity among other things. However, I, later on, grew to realize just how foolish and irrational I was being about the whole situation. It was only later n when I learned that loyalty isn’t necessarily a “perk” in a relationship. It’s a need. You always NEED a partner who is going to stay loyal and committed to you and the relationship. It’s not just some random attractive trait that you could choose not to have.
It’s always going to be a requirement that two people in a relationship love and respect one another in a relationship. But loyalty is also going to be just as essential a trait in a relationship as anything else Two people in a relationship should always be deeply committed to one another and the relationship as a whole. Why would you ever want to be in a relationship with someone who wouldn’t stay loyal to you? Why would you ever want to be in a relationship with someone who is going only going to treat you as a mere option in life?
If you happen to have two or more people interested in being with you at a time, you’re going to have to make up your mind about who you will want to take a chance on. You have to consider your needs and expectations for love and relationships. You would always want to choose the person who gives you butterflies in your tummy; someone who makes you catch your breath. You would want to be with the one who understands your goals and dreams in life; the one who is going to support you through thick in thin. You would always want to take a chance on the one who you know would make you happy even when you’re at you’re lowest. You would always want someone who will stay LOYAL to you no matter what. And they should really be loyal to you as a person, not just the idea of being with you. Because there are so many people who are like that. There are so many people who would just use and abuse you until they have nothing to get out of you anymore. There are going to be people who will only look to be with you until you practically have nothing to offer them anymore. You’re going to have to make sure that you protect yourself from these kinds of people.
You would never want to fall in love with someone who isn’t going to be loyal to you in the truest sense of the word. Why? You would be placing your bets on terrible odds. You would never want to be investing yourself in someone who isn’t invested in who you are either. You should only allow yourself to get attached to someone who is going to latch on to you as a human being. If you allow yourself to get your hopes up on someone who is merely going to use you until you have nothing left to offer, you are only going to be setting yourself up for potential heartbreak and disappointment.
If you are lucky enough to find someone who will stay loyal to YOU and YOU alone; then you know you have someone who you can really count on. A person who stays loyal to you is someone you can always rely on to be there for you whenever you need them. A person who stays loyal to you is someone who is ALWAYS going to make it a point to show up even when you least expect it. The person who stays loyal to you is the one who is going to be at your side even when you’re not necessarily at your best. The person who stays loyal to you is always going to stick it out with you though thick and thin.
And that’s something that you’re always going to need out of a life partner; someone who is always going to be there for you whether you’re deserving of it or not. You’re going to need someone who takes care of you even when you’re being difficult. You need someone who is going to really commit to staying in love with you; no matter what challenges may stand in your way as a couple. You need the safety, security, and peace of mind that comes with falling in love with someone who is loyal to you.
