You should choose to stay single until you really meet that one person who meets all your ideals about love and romance.
There is absolutely nothing frightening about choosing to stay single. A lot of people will try to scare you into desperation by telling you that being alone is a terrible fate for any human being to have to go through. They will try and make you believe that being single equates to loneliness, isolation, and sadness. They will try to paint a bleak picture of what life as a single person looks like and you have to make it a point to not let these comments get to you. You can’t let these people scare you into settling for a relationship that isn’t right for you. You have to remember that even though you’re single, you still have the choice to decide whether the loneliness is going to affect you or not. You still have the final say as to how your single lifestyle is going to make you feel.
You have to remember that it’s okay to be single and living life as an individual who is independent from anyone else. You don’t have to be in a relationship to be happy, and you know this because you derive happiness from plenty of other aspects of life. You know that you would much rather be living life as a happy single person than force yourself to endure a toxic, abusive, and downright terrible relationship with someone who doesn’t really care about you. There is so much joy to be had in just going after your dreams without having to be responsible for another person. A lot of people will choose to force themselves into awkward dating situations just out of desperation and they will find themselves feeling worse off than when they initially started. They try to force the issue because they are desperate to escape the single life but they don’t know that forcing the issue isn’t going to get them anyone. You have it so much better than these people. You know just how valuable your time really is and you don’t take it for granted. You are taking this opportunity to use all this time that you have for yourself to build yourself up to become a person of substance and value. There are so many things that you want to do with your life and now is a better time than any to get started. It doesn’t matter whether you’re in a relationship or not. All that matters is that you have dreams and you’re going to go after them regardless if you’re single.
A lot of people are just too terrified of going back into the single life, so they will choose to stick things out in a relationship that actually makes them feel miserable. They are led to believe that being unhappy in a relationship is a whole lot better than being single. But at the end of the day, you have to ask yourself, isn’t happiness the ultimate goal? If a relationship doesn’t make you as happy as much as a single life could, why would you still choose to be in a relationship? Why would you want to be unhappy with another person when you can be perfectly happy on your own? It’s just that there is so much pressure on people to get into relationships now. Everywhere we turn, commercial establishments and media romanticize love and it affects our psyche substantially. We are all led to think that the only way we can move on in life and find genuine happiness is if we get into a relationship. That’s just a bunch of lies and you should know that.
You should choose to stay single until you really meet that one person who meets all your ideals about love and romance. You don’t have to settle for the kind of love that makes you feel like you’re merely getting by. You need to stay single until you find that love that actually lights a fire under you; the love that makes you catch your breath every so often; the love that inspires you to push harder than ever before.
You should choose to stay single until you actually meet someone whose face absolutely lights up at the sight of you. You have to choose to stay single until you meet that special person who is willing to waste all the time in the world with you; because to that person, time spent with you is never going to be time that’s wasted. You should choose to stay single until you meet that one person who makes you forget about the entire world and who makes you very vulnerable about your feelings and emotions. You should meet that one person who actually scares you to the point where you don’t understand your feelings anymore.
You should choose to stay single until you meet that one person who is actually able to love you the way that you always want to be loved. You should choose to stay single until you meet someone who gives you the kind of happiness that you never would have found on your own.
