Bye bye, Healy. Time to move on.
It has been reported that Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have broken up after two months of ‘causal’ romance, as per a source close to the Love Story singer.
According to a friend of Taylor, the pop icon is single again, and it is still unclear why they have split.
It is also being said that it was a ‘casual thing’ and none of the two singers were interested in a serious relationship.
Another source has told Entertainment Tonight that the split comes due to their ‘extremely busy’ work schedules.
“Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realized they’re not really compatible with each other,” the source shared.
“Taylor’s friends want what’s best for her and aren’t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship.”
The news comes after the 1975 frontman was spotted kissing a male security guard at his concert in Denmark on Friday.
“The 1975 were cranking out their song, “Robbers” at the NorthSide Festival when their frontman, Matty, locked eyes with the guy who was standing watch Friday night near the front of the stage — and then, he gave the guard some lip action,” wrote TMZ.
And the security guard seemed to be fully enjoying the kiss, as seen in the viral clip on Twitter.
This is not the first time Healy, 34, has been spotted kissing a random person at his concert – the singer has a history of notoriously making out with his fans during his band shows. However, a few months ago, when rumors started to emerge about his affair with Swift, Matty stated that he wouldn’t kiss his fans out of respect for the songstress.
“I’m not kissing anybody in front of Taylor Swift, have some respect,” he said during one of his concerts in January. “In front of the queen, it’s not happening.”
But guess who is back to his old naughty ways? It’s definitely Healy.
The news of their romance came earlier this month when a source revealed to The Sun that the 22 singer is dating the Falling for You musician after her breakup with Joe Alwyn.
“She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago, but timings just didn’t work out,” the insider revealed.
The source went on to explain that although the breakup news of Taylor and Joe became official in April, the couple parted ways back in February, so there was absolutely ‘no crossover’ in Taylor’s love life.
“Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover. Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of Face-Timing and texting but she cannot wait to see him again.”
The source added that both Taylor and Matty are big pop stars who understand the pressure of their jobs more than anyone and are incredibly supportive of each other’s work.
“They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.”
Added the insider, “Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.”
The new romance began a month after Swift, 33, ended her six-year-long relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn, 32.
On Saturday, April 8, Entertainment Tonight broke the news of their split and said it was conflict-free and involved no drama.
“The relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows,” a source revealed to the outlet.
