Terry Paxton Bradshaw most popularly known as Terry Bradshaw is a former American professional footballer who played a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League.
Since 1994, Bradshaw has been a television sports analyst and co-host of Fox NFL Sunday.
The former Football recently revealed that he was diagnosed with two kinds of cancer in the past year.
While addressing an incident on last week’s pregame show, Terry said he wanted to discuss some of his health issues with his concerned fans.
“Last week on this show, I ran out of breath, and Howie (Long) helped me up, and a lot of people are asking what’s wrong with me, what’s happened to me physically,” the footballer said on NFL pregame show on Sunday.
“I just want to address it and let you know what has happened in my life. In November, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I went to the Yale University Medical Center – for surgery and treatment. As of today, I am bladder-cancer free. That’s the good news.”
“Then in March, feeling good. I had a bad neck. I get an MRI. Now we find a tumor in my left neck.”
“And it’s a Merkel cell tumor, which is a rare form of skin cancer. So I had that surgery done at M.D. Anderson in Houston.”
The 74-year-old football legend played fourteen seasons for the Steelers and won the Super Bowl Championship four times.
“He is also a two-time Super Bowl MVP and a one-time regular season MVP,” Quoted PEOPLE.
“Folks, I may not look like my old self, but I feel like my old self. I’m cancer free, I’m feeling great. And over time, I’m going to be back to where I normally am.”
Bradshaw’s co-host and fellow Hall of Famer, Michael Strahan, honored his pal for his resilience throughout his sickness and called him an ultimate team player.
“TB, everybody here, we know what you’ve been going through. You are the ultimate teammate, and you know we love you, and you hold this show together. And regardless of all of that, we’re just so happy that you’re here. We’re happy that you’re cancer free, and I think you’re going to give a lot of hope to a lot of people out there who are going through something very similar,” he said.
“I’m also just curious why it took this for people to ask what’s wrong with you after all these years?” Michael jokingly asked Terry.
“There’s some of us that have been asking it for several years!” added Menefee, the show’s co-host while the whole squad laughed.
In his personal life, the football professional married four times and has two daughters, Rachel and Erin.
According to The Sun, his first three marriages ended in divorce, “a topic he routinely mocks on his NFL pregame program.
Bradshaw was married for the fourth time to Tammy, 60, after fifteen years together on July 8, 2014.”
