11 Things That Could Potentially Cause The End Of Your Relationship

1. Your personal insecurities.

You can’t let your insecurities get the best of you in your relationship. Remember that a relationship should be a platform that appeases all of your insecurities. You don’t want your insecurities to be playing a role in your relationship. Insecurity breeds toxicity. And the more toxicity that you allow into your relationships, then the more likely that your relationships are not going to last.

2. Your unhealthy competitiveness and envy.

Don’t treat your relationship like some kind of competition. Don’t act envious of your partner whenever they find success. Be happy for them. Cheer them on whenever they find success in life. Be their number one supporter. You can’t just always be trying to overshadow your partner.

3. Your excessive jealousy.

Of course, when you are in a relationship with someone, you would want to be exclusive with them. But being exclusive with someone doesn’t mean not allowing them to hang out with other people. You should still be able to trust that your partner is going to stay loyal to you even if they have other people in their lives. That’s part of what being in a relationship is.

4. Your over-the-top possessiveness.

Just because you are in a relationship with someone doesn’t give you the right to be possessive of them. Sure, you can be a little territorial. Yes, it’s okay for you to want your partner to spend as much time with you as possible. But you also have to give your partner freedom. You have to respect the fact that your partner is their own person and that you aren’t entitled to having them all to yourself.

5. Your lack of self-love.

The less love that you have for yourself, the more difficult you make it for your partner to love you as well. That’s a big problem that you’re really going to have to address. You need to love yourself a little more. Show your partner the parts of you that are worth falling for and staying in love with.

6. Your lack of independence.

Just because you get into a relationship with someone doesn’t mean that you should get the right to rely on this person for everything. You shouldn’t be so quick to give up on your independence. You shouldn’t be so quick to just get rid of your sense of self-reliance. You can’t depend on your partner to take care of everything in your life for you. You still need to be able to do things on your own.

7. Your inclination to be dishonest.

There shouldn’t be ANY room for dishonesty in a relationship. When you lie to your partner, that is a direct breach of trust. And when there is no trust in a relationship, it can be very hard to make things last between the two of you. When you lie to your partner, that is a blatant act of disrespect. And when there is no respect in a relationship, compatibility is going to be so difficult for the two of you.

8. Your disregard for your partner’s future plans.

You can’t always be living in the present even if you think that’s how your personality has wired you to act. When you’re in a relationship, you always want to be looking towards the future if you want your romance to last for the long-term. And you always have to be taking your partner’s future plans into consideration as well. You can’t go on thinking that you’re going to get to call all the shots.

9. Your overall selfishness and overblown ego.

Don’t be so selfish in your relationship. Be mindful of the fact that your partner has feelings and that they are going to have certain needs and expectations as well. You can’t just be concerning yourself with your own happiness. You can’t just keep on acting selfishly by doing whatever you want without thinking about how your words or actions might impact your partner.

10. Your unwillingness to put in the time and effort.

All relationships are going to require a lot of hard work and effort. Remember that love isn’t easy. It isn’t simple. Part of what makes love so beautiful is that you have to earn it. And the fact that you feel like you can take a break on love and expect things to work out is foolish. Love is ALWAYS something that you need to be putting in the time and effort for.

11. Your impatience and lack of understanding.

Your partner is only human – just as you are. Your partner is bound to make a few mistakes here and there the same way that you do. You can’t blame your partner for falling or stumbling every so often. You need to be as patient and as understanding as possible in your relationship. There are many hurdles that you need to jump over together. And that all starts with you being on the same page.
