This Father Invites Stepdad to Walk Daughter Through The Aisle, Together

Divorce is a genuine and painful part of our world. Each of us knows someone or has personally gone through the trauma and pain of divorce. It is often stigmatized in society and makes people feel insecure about themselves and their skin. Society doesn’t care about the context or the reason; it’s just something that’s frowned upon even if divorce ends up making people ultimately happy in the end.

Sometimes, no matter how hard two people try, they can’t come to any other conclusions than to go their separate ways – and that’s just how life works. But today’s article is about something positive sprouting from a divorce story. So it’s pleasing to see when something positive comes out of it – like today’s story where a father invites the stepfather to walk their daughter down the aisle together at her wedding.

Todd Cendrosky is the stepdad of bride Brittany Peck, and he didn’t expect to walk Brittany down the aisle when he was invited to the wedding. But to everyone’s shock, things went a different and positive way for him. Todd Bachman, Brittany’s biological father, walked up to Cendrosky and grabbed his hand – asking him to walk their daughter down the aisle together! This selfless act of love & humanity is rare to see in today’s world.

While talking to WKYC, Mr. Cendrosky said:

“He came and grabbed my hand, and said: ‘You worked as hard as I have. You’ll help us walk our daughter down the aisle. “

He added:

“I got weak in the knees and lost it. Nothing better in my life. The most impactful moment in my life.”

While speaking to The New York Times, the bride’s mother, Candace Cendrosky, said:

“When Todd Bachman grabbed my husband’s arm, it meant a lot to me. That was an awesome moment; it was magical, it was an outstanding thing to do. He made my husband’s world, he really did. And that makes me feel great. Deep down I really do believe he did this for Brittany.”

The man of the hour, Mr. Todd Bachman, revealed his feelings during an interview with The Times, saying:

“It’s not about me. It’s not about him. It’s about her. We’ve worked so hard to get to this point. The dark days are long behind us.”

The wedding was even more beautiful than anyone could have ever imagined when the daughter danced with both of her dads. Brittany Peck talks about the event:

“They were both there for me — they raised me. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders that day.”

This beautiful story is a powerful testament to being human and taking care of each other’s emotions. That small gesture on Bachman’s part played a massive role in making Brittany’s wedding an unforgettable event for her, something she will cherish for the rest of her life. When we come together as human beings and try to understand each other, not even divorce can come in the way of true happiness.
