There is going to come a time in the future; whether it’s far off in the distance or just right around the corner, you’re going to meet the person who you are just destined to be with. You’re going to find the person who you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with. And you’re going to be able to find this person even when you’re not necessarily seeking them out. And it’s likely that when you do meet this person, you won’t necessarily know right away that they’re the ones you’ve been waiting for. But the moment that you touch each other for the first time, you are bound to feel an instant connection. As you stare longingly into each other’s eyes, there’s going to be a bond between the two of you. you know that the bond and connection you have with one another is going to be different. You know that what you have is something special even when it seems a little instantaneous and premature. You’re just going to be able to tell deep in your gut that you’re right where you need to be. It’s not going to be something overly dramatic though. It’s going to be a little more discreet than that. But you’re still going to feel it like a nagging sensation that just won’t go away.
There are many possible situations in which you’re going to meet this person. You might luck out by having a great friend who will introduce the two of you. Maybe you just happen to be beside this person during a yoga class that you’re attending. Perhaps the two of you frequent the same coffee shop and you happen to notice that you read the same kinds of books. Whatever the case, it isn’t necessarily something that you’re going to force. It’s something that happens by chance. It’s almost going to surprise you. It’s something that might even catch you off-guard.
But when you look back on your relationship, you’re going to realize that there was nothing random about the two of you crossing paths and being in each other’s lives. Regardless of the situation and circumstances that brought the two of you together, you have to know that the stars had to align perfectly for the two of you to meet. And that’s not something that just happens out of the blue. There’s going to be a kind of electricity within your immediate environment that is telling you that this isn’t just another chance meeting. There is an energy about it that you just won’t be able to turn a blind eye to. And even though you might not really know it at that time, you’re going to remember every aspect of that meeting for as long as you live.
You might not really think all that much of it at first. Sure, you know that there’s something special there that’s worth acting on. But you’ve also had similar experiences in the past. You’ve gotten your hopes up so many times before and you’ve been heartbroken just as much. So now, you’re growing rather cynical. You’re teaching yourself to be more guarded and you don’t allow yourself to get your hopes up too easily. You are trying to protect yourself by making sure that you don’t set yourself up for disappointment. You have made yourself vulnerable in the past but you don’t really have anything good to show for it right now. And you’re not exactly sure that you’re going to have a better outcome this time around.
But here’s the thing about love that you’re mature enough to know by heart – it’s a risk. You know that in order for you to find true love in this world, you’re going to have to allow yourself to become a little bit vulnerable. You know that you’re always going to have to take a chance on love; how it’s not something that you are going to be assured of or entitled to. And when you do fall in love, you’re going to realize that it’s not going to be as easy as you want it to be. You are going to work really hard to sustain that love. You’re going to try your absolute best to make sure that that love doesn’t go to waste because you want to maximize whatever opportunities you can get.
And that’s what meeting “the one” is really going to do for you. You’re going to realize that you have the courage to actually put yourself out there for that one special person. You’re going to realize that it’s okay to be fearful and guarded; but that you shouldn’t let your fears keep you from pursuing the love you think you deserve. When you meet “the one”, you’re going to get a second wind; and you’re going to pursue that love with all your heart.
