This Is The Invisible Thread That Brings Two Souls Together

It is just downright unfortunate that the word “soulmate” has become some kind of arbitrary cliché to a lot of people in this modern era. Soulmates are very much real and they represent something that is infinitely complex, meticulous, and deliberate. A lot of people tend to trivialize the idea of soulmates because of their limited exposure and ignorance on the matter.

Soulmates really do serve as positive symbols for human interaction and coexistence. Soulmates represent a shared happiness between two separate entities that have somehow managed to transcend traditional limitations. Of course, the whole idea of soulmates dates back to the earliest ages of human civilization. Aristophanes once argued that human beings originally had eight-limbs and two heads each. The story goes that the gods chose to split these people into two to lessen their strength and the likelihood of them being overthrown by these humans.

However, as a result, beyond the physical separations that took place, human beings also suffered emotional incompleteness to a certain extent. And it’s in that story wherein the whole theory of finding a soulmate is formed. It becomes an absolute imperative for a human being to actually seek out their soulmate in order to feel complete, fulfilled, and worthy. That’s the whole idea that revolves around the concept of soulmates and it’s quite beautiful. It carries much depth and it’s never something that you can just trivialize.

This is where the invisible string of the universe ties in. Think of the universe as a large and vast space with entities that are connected with invisible strings that make sure that everything stays in order – that everything is functioning the way that they should be. It’s this same invisible string which is believed to be the true controller and manipulator of the universe. And they say that the string has a will that can’t be changed.

They claim that the string is unchangeable and unfailing. Whatever the strings command is what is going to happen. Based on the lore of old, this string is tied to the ankles of all human beings as directed by the gods. To add on to that, the strings are actually colored red so as to symbolize passion and love. This kind of symbolism is essentially the perfect metaphor for two people to come together and love one another.

All of the knots and bonds instigated by these strings are ones that will never unravel or wither. These are ties that are never going to break. There is a certain kind of unbridled potential that is present when this bond is manifested between two people. When two people are tied together by this invisible string, they are capable of great things – both as a couple and as individuals.

Luckily, the word “soulmate” has not yet become a real cliché to every single one of us. There is still a huge bulk of people out there who embrace the deep and inspiring face of the idea of soulmates. According to a leading expert in the field named Julie Dillon, the idea of soulmates can greatly be associated with themes of love and destiny.

“Our universe grants every soul a twin—a reflection of themselves—the kindred spirit—And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other—even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love.”, she says.

Another leader in this field, Edgar Cayce, defines a soulmate to be an ongoing connection with another individual that the soul picks up again in various times and places over lifetimes. We are attracted to another person at a soul level not because that person is our unique complement, but because by being with that individual, we are somehow provided with an impetus to become whole ourselves.” Cayce firmly believes in the very traditional ideas of the ancient thinkers.

However, there is substantial reason to believe that Linda Brady has far more invaluable and profound insights on the matter. “We recognize a soulmate by the supreme level of comfort and security we feel with that person. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t issues that remain to be ironed out.

Rather, it means we know intuitively that we can resolve issues with our soul mate without losing his or her love and respect.”, she exclaims. Of course, the innate level of comfort that we can possibly experience with another person can be very refreshing and inspiring. It can be quite an experience.

To close this article, perhaps Elizabeth Gilbert manages to say it the best: “People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.”
