Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, stood on either side of their son on Friday and smiled for a camera. Page Six reported that the photo was taken at Benjamin High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where their son signed his commitment to play golf at Florida State University.
Woods, 50, and Nordegren, 46, stood on either side of Charlie in the photo, all three dressed in Florida State gear. Their divorce was finalized in 2010.
Tiger Woods and Nordegren Celebrate Their Son’s College Commitment
Friday’s signing made official something their son had already announced. He verbally committed to Florida State in February and shared the news on Instagram at the time.
“Excited to announce my commitment to play golf at Florida State University,” he wrote, according to Page Six.
His father answered in the comments. “I’m so proud of you on entering this next chapter of your life,” Woods wrote.
Public comments from Tiger Woods about his private life are rare. He chose his son’s post to leave one.
The Couple’s Rare Public Appearance Together
Page Six called it a rare photo, and the history explains why. The picture arrived nearly 17 years after the scandal that preceded the end of their marriage, a story that played out on every front page for months.
Friday’s frame held more than the former couple. Nordegren’s boyfriend, former NFL player Jordan Cameron, was there too, along with the three children he shares with Nordegren. Page Six reported they were also dressed in Florida State merchandise.
Two households, one school color.
Co-Parenting After a High-Profile Split
Friday was not a first. Page Six reported that the exes put on a united front this February at their son’s championship ring ceremony. The Benjamin School boys’ golf team had just won the 2025 FHSAA Class 1A state title. They posed for family photos while he showed off his medals.
Back in December 2024, the pair reunited at the PNC Championship in Orlando. Woods played 18 holes alongside their son while their daughter caddied. Videos from that event showed Nordegren hugging Woods and patting him on the back.
Earlier in 2024, they turned up together for another ring ceremony, following the team’s November 2023 state title.
The pattern is worth noticing. Every one of these appearances is built around a child’s moment, never around the two adults. Nobody poses for a dinner photo. Nobody gives an interview about how they get along. They pose for a photo at their son’s college signing ceremony and celebrate together. Exes who manage this tend to treat the event as the only shared territory and keep everything else private. Woods and Nordegren have done exactly that for years, through a divorce most people still remember by its headlines.
Cameron’s presence matters too. A new partner standing in the same room, in the same gear, means the arrangement is settled enough that nobody has to perform distance for the camera.
Family Unity at Florida State University Signing
The golf team’s wins gave the family reasons to gather, and the signing gave them the biggest one yet.
Their son heads to Tallahassee as a Seminole. Tiger Woods and Nordegren have not said whether they plan to attend his college events together. Based on the last two years, the photos will probably keep coming.
