Tom Cruise Breaks Silence on Plastic Surgery Rumors

Hollywood legend Tom Cruise is one of the world’s most popular and highest-paid actors. He began his acting career in the early 1980s and rose to prominence with his first lead role in the 1983 comedy film Risky Business.

In 1986, Cruise appeared in Tony Scott’s action film Top Gun as Pete Mitchell and became world-famous. The film broke all records and is still considered one of the most-watched movies in Hollywood.

After Top Gun, Cruise appeared in several other top-charting movies, all of which were major hits. Some of his other notable projects include Mission Impossible, Vanilla Sky, Jerry Maguire, The Last Samurai, Oblivion, Edge of Tomorrow, The Mummy, Jack Reacher, The Firm, Rain Man, American Made, Far and Away, Endless Love, Days of Thunder, Cocktail, and A Few Good Men.

Throughout his career, Tom has received several accolades for his outstanding performances in multiple movies, including three Golden Globe Awards, an Honorary Palme d’Or, and four Academy Award nominations.

His movies have grossed over $4 billion in the US and nearly $12 billion worldwide, making Cruise one of the highest-grossing Box office actors ever.

As for his love life, the Mission Impossible star married three times, and three marriages ended in divorce. His first marriage was with actress Mimi Rogers; the couple stayed together for three years from 1987 to 1990.

After Rogers, Cruise tied the knot with American-Australian star Nicole Kidman. This union lasted for over ten years – the couple exchanged wedding vows in 1990 and parted ways in 2001. Nicole and Tom are parents to two children – daughter Isabella, 30, and adopted son, Connor, 28.

After Kidman, Tom Cruise married Katie Holmes in 2006 and welcomed daughter Suri with her. The couple ended their marriage in 2012, and since then, Suri has lived with her mom. She is now 17 years old and has not seen her dad for almost a decade.

The A-list Hollywood star who began his acting career in his early 20s is not 60 years old and people still cannot stop drooling over his mesmerizing looks and charming personality. Although, it has been believed that Cruise has gone under the knife several times to undergo various changes in his facial features, the actor has always denied the speculations.

In 2012 when Playboy Magazine asked him if he had undergone plastic surgery, Tom said, “I haven’t and never would.”

In October 2021, Tom Cruise made wild surgery rumors after attending a basketball game in San Francisco. People couldn’t help noticing his much-swollen face, which looked way puffier than usual.

According to Daily Mail, “Dawn Attewell, Registered Aesthetics Nurse at therapyhouse.co.uk told FEMAIL the pictures were a result of ‘excessive filler’ and ‘post-procedure swelling.’”

“In the infamous October 2021 picture, you can see that Tom looked swollen and puffy, which could be due to excessive filler, post-procedure swelling, or weight gain,” the Aesthetic Nurse said.

“Often, surgical procedures such as a platysmal plasty, or neck lift, combined with a mid-facelift could create this type of swelling in these areas.”

Many fans of Cruise also claimed that their favorite Hollywood heartthrob had had face fillers, Botox, a nose job, and even got a hair transplant procedure done.

Speaking with The Sun, owner, and practitioner of Harley Street Injectables, Alice Henshaw said the actor has indeed had fillers under his eyes and around his nose and mouth.

“At almost 60, Tom’s hairline has remained relatively the same, although slightly thinning, which does suggest he may have had hair transplants.”

She explained, “Tom definitely looks swollen and puffy, which could be due to filler, post procedure swelling or weight gain. I believe he’s had fillers under his eyes and around his mouth and nose in the past, but this time is different.”

“A side profile view of him shows his neck is also quite swollen. Filler would not be placed in this area, which signifies it would not be filler but rather swelling or weight gain,” the expert continued. “Often surgical procedure such as a platysmal plasty, or neck lift, combined with a mid-facelift could create this type of swelling in these areas, and scars are easily disguised.”
