The truth is that love isn’t easy. Love is going to be far from simple. Love isn’t something that is just going to fall into your lap. Love isn’t something that you can just force or manifest out of nothing. Love isn’t something that you can sustain with minimal care or effort.
That’s just not how love works at all. Love is going to be far from easy. But here’s the thing: it’s always going to be worth it. You have to know that the best things in life never come easily. And make no mistake about it. Love is the single best experience you could possibly ever share with another human being.
And the work doesn’t end when you get love into your life either. Once you have love, you have to work like hell to make sure that it doesn’t get away from you; to make sure that it doesn’t go waste.
If it were so easy to find love in life, then the true value of love would diminish significantly. The reason why love is so valuable and amazing is because of how hard it is to attain. You should always be willing to devote a lot of time and effort to love because you won’t be able to make it last otherwise.
If anyone could find love at will, then it loses a great deal of what makes it so special. And you should always be willing to pursue love because even though it might be difficult and complicated, it’s the one thing in life that is definitely worth fighting for. It’s the one thing in this world that is worth living for. Love was never designed to be easy. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either deluded or naïve.
Relationships are never meant to be perfect. And do you want to know why? It’s because relationships are made up of human beings. And human beings are just inherently imperfect creatures. We all screw up every now and then. We all make mistakes every once in a while. We are never going to be able to craft perfect love stories because of our many imperfections.
But what you also need to know is that you don’t have to be perfect to fall in love. True love is about two imperfect people who are fighting for that perfect union. And you might not ever get here. You might not get the perfect fairytale narrative that you have always imagined for yourself. But that’s okay.
It was never meant to be perfect at all. What matters is that you never stop fighting towards that perfection. Love is the single most beautiful thing in the world – but beauty is always going to come at a price. You’re going to need to exert a lot of time, dedication, and effort in order to make love work.
It’s not always going to be cotton candy and sprinkles. It’s not always going to be sunshine and rainbows. It’s not always going to be roses and butterflies. But that’s okay. You gain a better appreciation for the beauties of love once you are able to experience the downsides that come with it. You gain a better appreciation for the perfect once you immerse yourself in the imperfect.
There is always going to be a dark side to every relationship no matter how much you might try to avoid it. Don’t buy into the whole idea that a relationship isn’t worth being in if you have to fight for it. Don’t believe the people who tell you that love should be smooth sailing, easy, and uncomplicated. Granted, there are some couples who will struggle more than others. But we all struggle just the same. And you should never be ashamed of those struggles because they add character and personality to your relationships.
We are all inherently complicated human beings. We all have our individual traits and characteristics that help shape who we are. You aren’t always going to see eye to eye with your partner on everything. You are not always going to be on the same page. You aren’t always going to be compatible with one another in all respects. But that’s okay.
The ONLY thing that matters is that you are both invested in making things work despite whatever troubles or differences you might have as a couple. What matters is that both of you believe in the love that you share for one another and that you show the willingness to fight for that love.
You might be two imperfect beings but you shouldn’t let that stop you from fighting for that perfect love; from fighting for that perfect union. Make sure you don’t take the love that you have for granted. And you will be sure to have it repay you a hundredfold.
