Breakups can be really rough. They are rarely ever easy and a lot of them can be downright toxic and destructive. The emotional trauma that a breakup can have on some people can be incredibly intense. Some breakups are easier to bear than others. Typically these are the mutual kinds of breakups wherein the people involved both agree to going their separate ways. Then there are the one-sided kinds of breakups wherein only one person wants to part ways while the other is left in a trail of total heartbreak and disappointment.
Usually, it is the latter kind of breakup wherein moving on can be quite difficult. Everyone moves on from a breakup quite differently. Some people don’t need a lot of time to get over it while others need plenty of time and isolation to move on. It all really varies depending on our personalities and our experiences.
