Will Smith and Jada are having the Best Time Together, Celebrating their Birthday Month at Home with Loved ones

“Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith marked their September milestones over consecutive weekends this month with their loved ones by their side,” PEOPLE reported.

Currently, the couple is busy partying every weekend to celebrate their birthdays; Will turned 54 on Sunday, while his wife Jada celebrated her 41st birthday on September 18.

“Will and Jada each celebrated their birthdays at home, with all three kids there. So it was a small, intimate celebration with family at home — two weeks in a row,” an insider revealed to PEOPLE.

Will and Jada officially started dating in 1995 while the Focus actor was still married to his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, with whom he shared a son named Trey.

The couple tied the knot in 1997 on New Year’s Eve and share two children together – son, Jaden, 24, and daughter, Willow, 22.

The couple made headlines in March 2022 when host Chris Rock cracked an insensitive joke at Jada about her bald head.

On March 28, 2022, on the eve of the 94th Academy Awards, the world witnessed an iconic slap by Will Smith. When presenter Chris Rock joked about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, initially everyone laughed, including Smith himself. But a few moments later, the actor stood up from his seat and went on stage, where he smacked Chris and said, “keep my wife’s name outta your ****ing mouth.”

Later, The Pursuit of Happyness star took to his Instagram and wrote an apology post.

“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear, and I reacted emotionally.”

His slap led Smith to be banned from attending the Oscars for the next ten years, and he even had to resign from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.

Later in June 2022, in one of her episodes of Red Table Talk, the Matrix actress said that the incident affected her mental health and relationship with her husband, Will Smith, and she hoped he and Chris Rock would reconcile.

“About Oscar night. My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile,” Jada said about her husband Smith and Chris Rock. “With the state of the world today, we need ’em both, and we all actually need one another more than ever.”

“Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years — and that’s [to] keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

Apart from the Oscars, the picture-perfect couple went through many problems in their relationship that involved so much drama.

In July 2020, the couple sat down together in one episode of Jada’s show Red Table Talk and talked about the ups and downs of their relationship.

“I was done with you, I was so done with you,” Will said while admitting that he and Jada split for some time in 2015. “Marriages have that though. We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I’ll try to figure out how to make myself happy. I really felt like we could be over.”

However, despite their differences and rollercoaster relationship, Will and Jada stayed determined to keep supporting each other and never resort to divorce as an option.

According to PEOPLE, their relationship improved greatly in the last year, and they are in their ‘happy place’ now.

“Will is happy about the support he always gets from Jada,” said a source.

“Will is doing good. He spends a lot of time with Jada. He is very happy about her constant support. They are very close and back each other up. Family is everything to them.”
