Today’s story is about miracles and how they shape our lives. We plan out our entire lives and try to imagine something for ourselves, but life has a different plan for us – it’s one we can never expect or perceive.
Katie Page – A Super Woman Who Didn’t Let Anything Stop Her
Katie Page is a loving and caring woman from Colorado, USA. Her first marriage wasn’t a happy one for her, and she had to go through a difficult divorce during her early 30s. After facing such a daunting relationship, Katie decided to grow on her own and be by herself – giving herself time to heal.
Katie always wanted to have children. But due to certain fertility issues, she couldn’t. But, being an incredibly strong woman, she didn’t let anything bring her hopes down or keep her from her dreams. So she decided to adopt.
Baby Grayson Enters Katie’s Life
In 2016, Katie was contacted by a caseworker who told her about a 4-day-old baby boy. This baby was abandoned at a hospital, with no sign of the parents around – he was just left on his own; he didn’t even have a name. Katie took the boy into her home, becoming a foster mother and instantly falling in love with him – naming him Grayson.
After almost a year of being Grayson’s foster mother, Katie was finally able to legally adopt him as the courts deemed his biological parents’ rights to be terminated.
Baby Hannah & a Miraculous Reveal
After a month of Grayson’s adoption, Katie gets contacted by a caseworker about a baby girl who was abandoned at a hospital. Katie couldn’t bear to see another baby being left on her own. Katie spoke on how she felt about it:
“I know over the next 10 minutes and subsequent phone calls I made that afternoon, the phrase ‘I know I am crazy, but God is telling me to say YES’ kept coming out of my mouth.”
This baby girl, Hannah, was then dropped off at Katie’s home – no longer abandoned. But this is where things take a miraculous turn. Katie noticed the baby bracelet Hannah was wearing – the name of her birth mother was the same as Greyson’s.
Katie Tracks Down the Birth Mother
After a lot of thinking, Katie was able to track down the birth mother, and she was pleasantly surprised and equally shocked to find that she was indeed the woman who birthed both Grayson & Hannah. Katie speaks about how miraculous it was for both of the babies to come into her life:
“What if Baby Girl had gone to another family?”
“We would have never found her or Grayson’s mother. The connection would have never been made!”
“I could not believe the miracle that had just happened.”
Katie adopted Baby Hannah in 2018.
