Breakups are always hard, and it’s not easy for most people to move on immediately. And it’s even harder when your ex moves on before you, and that too with one of your parents.
Recently a video resurfaced on social media in which a young Indonesian woman revealed that her mother got married to her ex-boyfriend.
The woman named Nanda Berliana posted the video on her TikTok account showing her mother getting married to her former boyfriend. The video was originally posted in October 2022, but it has recently surfaced again and now getting more viral.
Local media reports revealed that Nanda and her ex used to date, and she was quite happy in her relationship. But the two had their differences and eventually ended up parting ways.
After her breakup, Nanda couldn’t move on easily and decided to stay single. However, her boyfriend had her priorities set and started dating her mother. She didn’t know it was happening until her mother and her ex decided to tie the knot.
It came as a shock to Nanda when her mother told her that she was dating her ex and had even decided to marry him.
The young woman who had her heart broken already decided to care for her mom’s happiness and participated in her wedding.
The viral TikTok video showed Nanda sitting alongside her mother and posing for pictures while she tried to hide her tears beneath her beaming smile.
The groom was shown in her video, clicking selfies with the mother-daughter duo.
“People always say that allowing your parents to be happy is always better,” she wrote in her video.
The poor girl who smiled throughout the event came home crying and could no longer control her emotions.
“Where is my home? Who else can I put my faith in to be a good husband?” she said in her video.
The video has been viewed by over 17 million people on TikTok and received 748K likes and more than five thousand comments.
Many people who commented on the video asked Nanda to stay strong and complimented her for doing a brave thing.
“You are so strong sister, don’t cry, you will find someone better who won’t lose you,” one user commented.
“Keep spirit sis, I’m sure you are strong,” another said.

Some people asked the girl if her mother was her real mom and not her stepmother. Many also criticized her mother for being selfish.
“Is your mom for real? How could she do that to her daughter?” one user said.
“Is she your stepmother?” Asked another. “Because a real mom won’t do such a thing to her daughter.”
