Brendan James Fraser is an American-Canadian actor known for his leading roles in blockbusters, comedies, and dramatic films. He first gained prominence for his role as Rick O’Connell in The Mummy trilogy.
His other notable projects include Bedazzled, California Man, Batgirl, Furry Vengeance, and The Whale.
Recently the 53-year-old actor received a six-minute-long standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival in Italy.
“If the Sunday night world premiere of The Whale at the Venice Film Festival is any indication, Brendan Fraser’s return to Hollywood will be met with plenty of cheers — and even more tears. When the credits rolled on the Darren Aronofsky drama, in which Fraser plays a 600-pound gay man confined to a wheelchair, the actor was overcome with emotion,” wrote Vanity Fair.
Lindley, who goes with the username @littlelottiecosplay on TikTok, posted a now-viral video on her account and shared that she will see Fraser in person at the New York Comic Con, which is scheduled to occur in the first week of October.
While on the call with her hero, 53-year-old Lindley responded to his concern with a heartfelt comment and said, “You’ve got this. You’ve got this. Just know that the internet is so behind you. We’re so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we’re rooting for you. And we can’t wait to see what you do next.”
“Fraser responded to her compliment by smiling and taking a swig of water, seemingly choked up with emotion as he responded: “Shucks, ma’am.”
In her TikTok videos, Lindley frequently talked about having a virtual meet-up with his favorite celebrity. However, it was a surprise to her when she learned that Brendan was coming to attend the same event she was going to attend herself.
“A year after a virtual meeting and greet I posted went viral, I am going to get to meet him in person,” Lindley wrote on her video clip.
“@newyorkcomiccon, YOU ARE MAKING MY DREAM COME TRUE,” she added a caption.
Her video received 471.8K views on TikTok and more than 70K comments where people cheered for her and her longtime dream of finally getting a chance to see Brendan in person.
“OMG CRYING, THIS IS HISTORY IN THE MAKING,” one person wrote.
“He is going to be so happy to finally meet you!” said another.
“WELL, THIS CAN ONLY GO WELL,” a third commented.
“There is no way you didn’t know it was going to happen. That was the best video of last year! I’m shocked it took so long,” someone else said.
