‘World’s Most Jealous’ Woman Made Husband Take Lie Detector Test Every Time He Came Home

A self-confessed ‘world’s jealous woman’ makes her husband take a lie detector test every day when he returns home from work.

Debbi Wood is a 52-year-old woman from Leicester, England is married to Steve Wood, 40. The couple tied the knot in 2014 after dating for three years.

According to Daily Mail, Debbie, who first met Steve in 2011 through a friend, bans him from watching TV and even looking at woman’s pictures in magazines.

“Mr. and Mrs. Wood first made headlines in 2013 after she was diagnosed with a rare condition, Othello Syndrome – a psychiatric disorder which causes sufferers to believe their partners have been unfaithful – even without evidence.”

Speaking to the outlet back then, Debbie said she knew what was wrong with her, but she just couldn’t help herself.

“I’m relieved to finally know what’s wrong with me but I still have a long way to go. Even if Steve pops out for 15 minutes to buy a pint of milk, I make him take a lie detector test as soon as he gets home.”

“I get so worried that he’s been eyeing up the shop assistant that I just have to know the truth.”

Debbie added that even though her husband is a faithful man, she still could not trust him when he used to go out and look at other women.

“I think he’s gorgeous, but that’s not the issue – it’s about whether or not I can trust him not to look at other women while he is out on his own,” she said.

“I don’t want him thinking they’re hot. If you’re in a relationship and you’re happy with your partner, you should only have eyes for that person.”

Before meeting Steve in 2011, Debbie had her heart broken in a long-term relationship that devastated her.

“She was so heartbroken that she vowed to never get into another relationship – and experts believe the emotional trauma triggered her illness,” per Daily Mail.

In 2011, one of Debbie’s friends introduced her to Steve Wood on Facebook. After communicating with him through Messenger for a few weeks, Debbie traveled to London for her first date with Steve.

“I knew we were meant to be a couple when we shared our first kiss under London Bridge. I didn’t mean to fall in love again after my last relationship, but Steve stole my heart,” she told Daily Mail.

“The only problem was that we lived so far apart. We started to get serious and made plans to move in together, but I then discovered that Steve had been seeing another girl around the time we’d first met.”

“He claimed he didn’t think we were exclusive because of the distance, and I forgave him, but I started to doubt whether or not he could be faithful.”

Her jealousy worsened when the couple moved in together after their engagement in 2013.

“She installed child-proof filters on his laptop and mobile phone to stop him looking at explicit pictures of women and banned him from watching any television programs featuring women.”

“One night, an advert for a women’s razor came on television, and I felt panicky thinking that Steve was eyeing the model up,” she said.

“The only thing that could put my mind at rest was banning him from watching any programs that have women in them. Now, I won’t even let him watch The Weakest Link in case he fancies Anne Robinson but I’m scared he’ll have a sneaky look when I’m in another room.”

Debbie said after that she ordered the lie detector device from an online store to know for sure when and where her then-fiance’s eyes were wandering.

“In general, he’s quite truthful but I have caught him lying a few times about looking at other women,” she said.

The couple appeared in another interview with This Morning’s host Philip Scholfield in 2015 and answered several questions regarding their relationship.

“But aren’t you going to frighten him off?” Philip asked Debbie.

“I don’t think I could frighten him off if I tried,” she replied.

When Schofield asked Steve if he was frightened in his relationship with Debbie, he said.

“There is no danger of me running away ‘any time soon’ as if I was going to run away from my wife, I’d have done it already.”

  1. Having been married to a jealous woman, my advice is run for the hills as fast as possible, unless you are happy being a wimp for the rest of your life.
