When Ava Marie Clements and Leah Rose Clements, famously known as the Clements Twins, were born in July 2010, everyone told their mum the girls had something special about them.
Their parents, Jaqi and Kevin Clements, already had a son named Chase, born in July 2008. When the couple welcomed their identical twins in 2010, they were showered with compliments like they had the most beautiful twin babies ever.
Ava and Leah have beautiful deep colored eyes and blonde hair. They have exquisite facial features making them perfect for the modeling field.
In 2017, on their seventh birthday, their mum, Jaqi, who was 37 at the time, set up a public Instagram account for the twins where she used to share their pictures and random daily life videos. Soon the account started gaining popularity, and by December 2017, the Clements Twins had over 139,000 followers on their Instagram.
The account was managed by their mum, who ensured her girls didn’t let the fame get to their heads. “I presented my idea to the girls that if they were up for it, in addition to their dance classes and swim team practices, they had every week, they could give modeling a try,” Jaqi wrote in a blog post.
“I was not surprised at all when they started jumping up and down and couldn’t wait to begin. They loved to perform their dance routines in front of an audience, any audience. They loved to be the centre of attention,” she added.
Just before Christmas 2017, Ava and Leah completed six jobs that were assigned to them by two different modeling agencies and won several contracts with children’s clothing brands and magazines.
“They’re ‘lovin’ every minute!” Jaqi wrote back then.
The Clements Twins have been labeled as the ‘world’s most beautiful twins’ by their Instagram followers and received many other similar compliments like most ‘stunning girls ever’ and ‘truly gorgeous girls.’
Throughout the years, Ava and Leah have worked with several high-end brands and famous magazines, including Nike, Disney, Mattel, and Target, and posed for Harper’s Bazaar, La Petite Magazine, Petite Adele clothing, VÉG-A-PORTÉR, and Airfish.
In March 2019, mum Jaqi spoke to Buzzfeed for an interview and explained how their Instagram blog reached a million followers.
“It was at that time that the Daily Mail published an article on them,” she said. “Soon, their follower count reached 1.1 million, meaning more opportunities for the girls.”
“This past year has been really fun and exciting for Ava and Leah. Whether it be private shopping experiences, gifted merchandise from brands all over the world, or taking pictures with fans, the girls have had an amazing ride so far.”
Today, the Clements twins are almost thirteen years old – they will celebrate their thirteenth birthday in two months and have 1.9 million followers on their Instagram account.
