I just want you to know that I am proud to have you in my life and that I’m always going to be thankful that you are who you are. I want to thank you for always responding to my irrational texts telling you about how anxious and nervous I am. Thank you for always reassuring me that everything is going to be okay when I’m just freaking out about everything.

Thank you for always taking the time to listen to me ramble on about things that wouldn’t be of interest to anyone else. Thank you for always ACTIVELY listening to me whenever I need to get something off my chest. You always make me feel safe about saying what’s really in my heart and on my mind. You always make me feel so secure whenever I’m with you. And that’s the kind of security that I just can’t seem to find in anyone else.
Thank you for trusting me enough to open yourself up to me. Thank you for always randomly messaging things that make me smile on a daily basis. Thank you for always allowing yourself to be weird around me. It lets me know that you’re just comfortable with being your true self whenever you’re with me. It lets me know that you trust me enough to just be silly without me; that you trust me enough to not judge you and ridicule you for being who you really are. You are far from being someone I would make fun of. You are far from being someone I wouldn’t want to be with. You are a special person I am always going to be proud of. And I hope that you understand just how seriously I take our relationship even though you and I are having fun and laughing all of the time.
Thank you for bringing a sense of lightness and joy in my life. Thank you for teaching me to not take myself so seriously all of the time. Thank you for teaching me that life is always something that I need to be finding a lot of joy and happiness in. Thank you for teaching me that life isn’t something that makes me feel so anxious, scared, and miserable all of the time. I wouldn’t be able to find a lot of joy and fulfillment in my life if it weren’t for you. I am always going to be thankful for the kind of perspective that you bring into my life. I am always going to be grateful for the depth of your wisdom. I am always going to be thankful for you teaching me valuable lessons that I never would have learned in the classroom. Thank you for always exposing me to different parts of the world; the most beautiful aspects of it. Thank you for always encouraging me to see the best in people. I am always so proud of the fact that you encourage me to find the good in everyone that I meet. I am so proud to say that I am no longer cynical; that I believe in the immense beauty of human beings because you are living proof that there is the real beauty to be found in this world.
Thank you for staying with me whenever I need you to be there. Thank you for comforting me whenever I’m upset or down. Thank you for staying at my side when I am at my most vulnerable. Thank you for being my strength whenever I am at my weakest. I could never find a way to repay you for everything that you have done for me; for everything that you continue to for me on a daily basis. I am always going to be so proud to say that I have a person like you in my life; someone I can always turn to whenever I feel like I don’t have the strength to face the world on my own. I love how I can always call on you to be here for me whenever I just need a hand to hold. I love how I can just count on you to be there for me even when there’s no reason for you to do so. I love how you consistently show up for me even though you have nothing to gain from it other than the satisfaction of making me feel safe and secure.
A person like you is a rare find and I know just how lucky I am to have you in my life. And I never want you to think that I take you for granted. I never want you to think that I’m not serious about us – about you. I am ALWAYS proud of you and that’s probably never going to change.
