Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford Break Up After 7 Months of Dating

Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have parted ways after dating for nearly seven months.

According to reports, the Bored singer, 21, and the Neighborhood front man, 31, have ‘amicably’ gone their separate ways.

“We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,” Billie’s representative confirmed to PEOPLE and other publications. “All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single.”

The now-ex-couple was last seen together at the 2023 Coachella last month.

The pair first sparked romance rumors in October 2022 when TMZ obtained photos of them dining at a vegan restaurant in West Hollywood. Billie confirmed their romance the following month by sharing a cozy Halloween photo with Jesse on her Instagram.

They were also spotted packing up on the PDA while embracing each other in front of the Lal Mirch Indian restaurant in Studio City.

After going Instagram official last year, the Bad Guy singer also became a part of the controversy where many people criticized the couple for their almost 11-year age difference.

“Just sayin ok if I were 30 I’d NEVER date a 20 yr old,” one fan wrote on Eilish’s Instagram post.

“Just keep an eye out, Billie. Predators are very good at hiding things,” a second wrote.

“As someone who just turned 30 and interacts with a 20 year old often at work, that’s still mentally a teenager to me lol. No way could I ever do that,” a third fan commented.

“thats the most uncomfortable looking blanket i’ve ever seen in my life,” said a fourth.

“When Billie was starting kindergarten he was in freaking high school. It’s lowkey kinda weird to see them together. Everyone is saying to stop butting in her life but it’s just concerning to see a 31 year old man who has known a qirl since she was 15 date her when he can barely legally date her,” one angry fan wrote.

However, the musicians chose to ignore the hate and carried on with their relationship. They made their red carpet debut at LACMA Art+Film Gala in November 2022.

The same month, Eilish sat down in an interview with Vanity Fair and gushed over her relationship with Rutherford for the first time.

“I just am really inspired by this person, and, you know, he’s inspired by me. It’s really cool, and I’m really excited and I’m really happy about it,” she said.

“I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f**king f**ker alive, but pulled his a**! Are you kidding me? Can we just [get a] round of applause for me?” she continued. “I pulled his a**! All me! I did that s**t! I locked that motherf**ker down!”

Speaking about the criticism and fans’ comments about their age gap, Billie said she is old enough to make her own decisions and she had no regrets.

“Say what you need to say, but, like, I am in control right now. I did this.”
