Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are engaged. Page Six reported on Friday, October 16, citing sources, that the 65-year-old country singer recently proposed to the 61-year-old English actress. The report came after a week of hints, most of them posted by the couple themselves.

Elizabeth Hurley started it. Earlier in the week she shared photos on Instagram wearing a very large diamond ring, and engagement talk followed almost immediately. She is currently filming “The ‘Burbs,” which gave the obvious counterargument a little cover. Maybe it was costume jewelry.

Billy Ray Cyrus added his own clue on Thursday, October 15. He shared an Instagram post with a ring emoji in the caption. No statement, no long message. Just the emoji.
Neither has issued a formal announcement. Between her photos and his caption, they did not need one.

Cyrus and Hurley met in 2022 on the set of “Christmas in Paradise.” They did not start dating then. According to Just Jared, they spent years as friends before turning it into a romance in 2025.
