Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds are Offering to Match $1 Million in Donations to Help the Refugees of Ukraine

As more and more Ukrainians flee towards safety, people from all over the world are pitching in to help out the refugees in need. Hollywood sweethearts and power-couple Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively have always been loving and giving towards humanity.

In light of the continuously intensifying conditions in Ukraine, the couple has offered to match a donation dollar for dollar up to $1 million.

In a recent Tweet, Ryan Reynolds said:

His wife, Blake Lively, followed by writing an emotional and heartwrenching post on Instagram. Lively wrote:

β€œ@vancityreynolds and I are doubling every dollar donated to @usaforunhcr up to $1,000,000β€œ

β€œ@usaforunhcr is on the ground helping the 50,000+ Ukrainians who had to flee their homes in less than 48 hours. @usaforunhcr is providing life saving aid, and also working with neighboring countries to ensure protection for these families.

USA for UNHCR also urged everyone to take part and help out the people in need – mentioning Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively. Posting the following statement on their Twitter:

More than 120,000 people have fleed from Ukraine to neighboring countries – Poland being one of them. Families have split up. Mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and the elderly are moving to safe zones while men aged between 18-60 stay behind to defend their land.

As this situation continues to escalate, there’s no telling what will happen in the days and weeks to come. USA for UNHCR stated on their website regarding the conditions of Ukrainian refugees:

β€œUNHCR is on the ground. Your compassionate support can help provide emergency supplies, lifesaving care and protection the moment Ukrainian families are forced to flee for their lives. You will help children, women and men displaced by violence in Ukraine know they are not alone at the most devastating moment of their lives.”
