Cardi B Reacts to Controversial Dalai Lama Video and Claps Back at Haters for Calling Her ‘the Wrong Messenger’

Cardi B has spoken out after the controversial Dalai Lama video that showed him asking a young boy to kiss him on the lips at an event in his temple in February in Dharamshala, India.

Footage of the bizarre interaction between His Holiness and a minor boy has become viral on the internet. In the video, the Tibetan spiritual leader could be seen kissing him on the lips and then asking the child to suck his tongue.

In the video, the child asks Tenzin Gyatso if he can hug him, to which he responds: “Okay – come!”

Gyatso first asked the boy to kiss him on the cheek, then his lips. He also held the child’s face as the two kissed briefly before pressing their foreheads together.

Then the Tibetan Buddhist leader asked him, “And suck my tongue.”

While the boy did what he said, the audience could be heard laughing in the background of the video.

The footage caused a stir online, and many have branded the Dalai Lama as an immensely sick, disgusting individual and a Child predator.

Reacting to the video, American rapper Cardi B said the world is full of predators.

The mum of two has also urged parents to talk with their kids about ‘boundaries.’

“This world is full of predators. They prey on the innocent. The ones who are most unknowing, our children. Predators could be our neighbors, our school teachers, even people with money, power & our churches. Constantly talk with your kids about boundaries and what they shouldn’t allow people to do to them,” she wrote on Twitter.

While the majority agreed with the 30-year-old rapper, some people disagreed and called her the ‘wrong messenger’ as she was involved in drugs and robbing men while working as a stripper in the past.

When a fan asked Cardi to watch her words, the WAP musician responded with another tweet.

“I don’t gotta watch my words..I know exactly wat I mean from the time you start potty training your kids you should tell them DONT LET nobody touch your privates, enter the bathroom wit you and don’t keep no secrets away from mommy …You took one word to try to make debate …DRINK YOUR COFFEE,” she wrote.

“I gotta get off the internet…shit is insane !!! I’m getting dragged up and down because I’m telling parents to be careful on people that prey on children…it’s craziness,” she said in a third tweet.

Later, she retweeted an article about the Tibetan spiritual leader apologizing for his actions and wrote, “Man, I’m telling yall.”

Cardi also called out the haters who tried to intimidate her by mentioning her past from the strip club and claiming she was a predator too.

“How are y’all bringing up a situation from my past when GROWN A** DRUNK MEN were trying to take advantage of me and trying to finesse me out of my body because I said protect ya kids from predators?” she said.

“Like do y’all want them to get preyed on or something? PROTECT OUR KIDS and let them know not to let anyone touch their private parts. She added, “Don’t let no one kiss them in their mouth. And always feel comfortable letting mommy and daddy know what happens. If you find a problem wit that then I’m side eyeing you.”

In the apology statement issued by the Dalai Lama’s Office, it has been claimed that ‘His Holiness regrets the incident.’

“His holiness wishes to apologise to the boy and his family as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused.

“His holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident.” The statement read.
