The disgraced internet personality who got himself involved in an online beef with the climate activist Greta Thunberg was arrested by Romanian police after he posted a video on his social media.
The former professional kickboxer, who was earlier banned from all social media platforms, made a comeback on Twitter a few weeks ago.
Recently, the 36-year-old toxic Tate taunted the 19-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg over her ventures and tweeted,
“Hello @GretaThunberg, I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad-turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”
In response, the 19-year-old didn’t hesitate to roast him and wrote on her official Twitter account,
“Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at [email protected]”
The controversial influencer was burnt by Greta’s brutal response and initially wrote, “How dare you?” under her tweet.
“Thank you for confirming via your email address that you have a small penis @GretaThunberg. The world was curious. And I do agree you should get a life,” he wrote.
He then posted a bizarre video in an attempt to level the playing field by making further absurd remarks. In the video, Andrew could be seen smoking a cigar.
“Releasing greenhouse gases,” he said. “I’m obviously a stranger to online controversy, it’s not something I often do.”
“But now the mainstream Press is commenting on the fact that I was informing Greta that my very extensive car collection – with internal combustion engines which run on dead dinosaurs – have an enormous emission profile.
“And she responded by telling me her own email address. Greta’s email address is I have small d*** energy” he continued. “Why would that be your own email address, Greta? Strange,” he asked.
“Obviously I don’t want to assume her gender, it’s 50/50. But it is what it is. I’m not actually mad at Greta. Please bring me pizza and make sure these boxes are not recycled.”
His ridiculous video backfired straight in his face. Big Time!
During the 2-minute video, he asked someone to serve him pizza. The pizza box showed that it was from Jerry’s Pizza in Romania.
After watching his video clip, the Romanian police raided his property. They arrested Tate and his brother, Tristan, for allegations of rape and human trafficking and for organizing a criminal group.
The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism was in charge of the operation. Following his arrest, a statement released by DIICOT said,
“The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism – Central Structure together with police officers from the Bucharest Organized Crime Brigade implemented 5 home search warrants in a case in which investigations under the aspect of committing the crimes of constituting an organized criminal group, human trafficking, and rape.”
“We make it clear that during the entire criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence.”
According to Daily Mail, “Prosecutors said the brothers are suspects in an alleged organized crime ring that sexually exploited at least six women, who were recruited, housed, and forced into performing pornographic videos for sale online.”
The self-described misogynist and his brother will be questioned by the Romanian organized crime and terrorism team for the charges.
A spokesperson from Andrew Tate told Daily Mail that he and his brother, Tristan, have been detained for 24 hours for interrogation.
“We cannot provide any details at the moment regarding alleged reports that they have been detained; however, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always assist and help in any way they can.”
