Gisele Bündchen was honored at the Lotus House annual gala in Miami, Fla., on October 29, and her husband Joaquim Valente was right beside her. According to E! Online, the night doubled as a rare joint public appearance for the couple, who showed up in matching Western costumes for the gala’s Halloween theme.
Lotus House is a shelter for women and children. Gisele B ndchen, 46, shared photos from the evening on Instagram the same night.

Bündchen was not a guest that evening. She was one of the honorees. She and Karlie Kloss, both former Victoria’s Secret Angels, received the organization’s “It Takes a Village” award. A Lotus House press release, quoted by E! Online, said the award recognized their dedication to being hands-on champions of the shelter.
Kloss came dressed as Audrey Hepburn. Bündchen posted a shot of the two of them together in her Instagram carousel, alongside a group photo with Valente.
Her caption was about the place, not the trophy. She wrote that she felt grateful to be part of the Lotus House family and to see the care that goes into changing so many lives there.

Valente wore a brown vest over a taupe button-up shirt with denim jeans. Bündchen matched him in a plaid shirt, jeans and boots, her hair in pigtail braids. In the group photo E! Online described, both are smiling.

Couples who rarely step out together choose their appearances carefully. Valente did not pick a premiere or a fashion party. He attended the gala where his wife was honored, and they wore coordinating costumes. Bündchen and Valente married in 2025 and share an 18-month-old son. She is also mom to Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex Tom Brady. That makes for a full house, and the couple rarely steps out together in public.

Bündchen’s caption went further than a thank-you. “Kindness works like a seed,” she wrote, adding that even the smallest act can make a difference and that showing up for one another helps hope grow.
She was writing about a shelter. The line fits her own house just as well.
Bündchen has been saying something similar about Valente for months. On June 21, for Father’s Day, she posted an Instagram carousel celebrating him. E! Online reported that she thanked him for leading by example and listed the values she sees in him: love, humility, integrity, discipline, kindness and consistency. She called him an incredible role model and wrote that the whole family was grateful for him.
Consistency is the word that stands out in that list. Romance gets the headlines. Consistency is what actually holds a blended family together, the partner who is there on an ordinary Tuesday and also on the night of the gala. Bündchen named it in June. In October, Valente was standing next to her in a brown vest proving it.
Praise like that, posted publicly by someone who keeps her private life mostly private, is a choice. When she does, it is specific.
