In an update after the ‘medical scare’, Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne has said that her father has been out of the hospital for weeks.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Friday, the Day Shift actor’s elder daughter, Corinne, updated fans that her star dad has been out of the hospital for weeks and media is running wild reports about his health condition.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” the 29-year-old wrote alongside a media report that claimed his family is ‘preparing for the worst.’
She also told fans that the Django Unchained star is doing well now and even played pickleball yesterday.
“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
Corinne’s statement comes a few days after a source claimed to Radar Online that the actor has been hospitalized for weeks and his friends and family are preparing for the worst.
The source said that although Jamie’s condition is stable and he is doing better now, doctors are still trying to get to the bottom of his situation. He wouldn’t still be admitted to the hospital if he was ‘completely OK.’
“Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK,” the source told Radar.
According to the outlet, a source previously said that Foxx’s condition was so critical that he wouldn’t have survived if he didn’t receive proper medical treatment on time.
“It was touch and go for days with him, and he had to be revived. He is very lucky to be alive!” the source said, adding the star was saved by the emergency room physicians.
“He’s very lucky he got the treatment he did,” the source added. Another source said the hard-working Jamie suffers from high blood pressure, which experts said can cause clots in the brain and lead to a stroke. One source said the actor’s health crisis was “a long time coming.”
The Baby Driver alum was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, April 18, after a medical emergency, the details of which have not been disclosed. However, the family of the Ray star has confirmed that he is now making a recovery and has received great care.
After the medical emergency, Corinne Foxx, expressed gratitude for the support and well-wishes from fans and wrote on her Instagram, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
The 55-year-old Oscar-winner also took to his Instagram last Wednesday and thanked his fans and friends for sending so much love amid his recovery.
“Appreciate all the love!!!” the comedian wrote on his Instagram. “Feeling blessed.”
He also gave a shout-out to his comedian friend, Nick Cannon, for filling in on his hosting duties on the Fox show Beat Shazam and wrote on his story, “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon see u all soon.”
