Update: Jeremy Renner in ICU After Suffering Blunt Chest Trauma in Snowplow Incident

The Marvel star remains in critical but stable condition following the weather-related accident.

The 51-year-old actor suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries while plowing snow near his home in Lake Tahoe on January 1.

A spokesperson of Renner stated that the actor has undergone two surgeries following the accident and remains in critical but stable condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

The actor has been hospitalized in Nevada, where he was taken after getting critically injured.

“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition,” Renner’s representative told Deadline.

He said that the actor’s family is grateful for all the love and support his fans have been showing ever since the incident occurred.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

According to PEOPLE, the Hawkeye actor was airlifted to the hospital after getting seriously injured on New Year’s Day.

“At approximately 9:00 am on January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada.”

“Upon arrival, Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital.”

It has been reported that the Hawkeye actor was the only one involved in the accident, and an investigation is currently in process.

He remains in the intensive care unit, where his condition is serious but stable. The love and support he has received have overwhelmed him. As he recovers at home with his family, the family would appreciate your continuing thoughts and prayers.

As the family of Jeremy had already expressed gratitude, the medical staff, emergency responders, and everyone else who had shown their support for the actor also expressed their appreciation.
