Jessie James Decker has slammed United Airlines after a flight attendant allegedly humiliated her pregnant sister, Sydney Rae Bass, on a flight.
The 35-year-old country music singer took to her Instagram stories on Sunday and called out their airline company for its rude and unethical behavior.
“My sister @sydneyraebass just texted me from her flight on @united,” she wrote. “As you know, she is five months pregnant, high risk, and also traveling alone with her two small children.”
“Blaire accidentally spilled some popcorn in the aisle and the flight attendant came up to Sydney with a trash bag, and a wet wipe telling her the captain wants Syd to clean up every drop,” added Decker.
“My poor sister is on her knees, crying in the aisle, completely humiliated and exhausted with her children while everyone else watched. Way to go United,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, her brother-in-law and Sydney’s husband, MLB pitcher Anthony Bass also took to his Twitter account and called out United for their doing.
“The flight attendant @united just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with a 5 year old and 2 year old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?!”
In a subsequent Instagram story update, the former Dancing With the Stars contestant doubled down on her support for her sister and snuggled with Blaire in a sweet selfie.
“Yes, that’s what the flight attendant told my sister, that popcorn in the aisle is a safety hazard,” she captioned the photo.
She also posted a video clip on her stories in which she sarcastically asked Sydney where the popcorn came from in the first place.
“I’m thinking this whole time that the popcorn is something Syd just picked up [in the airport],” Decker said in her video, pointing that United Airlines provided the popcorn.
“If popcorn is a hazard, why are they giving it on planes?”
The next day, on Monday, the Love on the Brain singer updated her over 4 million followers that United had contacted her sister.
She hasn’t shared the details yet.
“[Sydney] can share that,” Decker wrote.
