In June 2022, Canadian singer Justin Bieber posted a video on his Instagram where he updated the fans that he had facial paralysis.
“Hey everyone Justin here, I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on.” He said in his video.
“Obviously, as you can probably see with my face. I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.”
“So for those who are frustrated by my cancellations over the next shows, I’m just physically obviously not capable of doing them; this is pretty serious, as you can see. He continued. “I wish this weren’t the case, but obviously, my body is telling me I gotta slow down, and I hope you guys understand.”
Justin began his tour mid-Feb this year after delaying it for two years due to the pandemic. And he was due to perform at the last few locations in the United States. Before moving on to his Europe tour, his last concert was scheduled to be in Inglewood, California.
Yesterday, the Baby singer once again took to his Instagram and announced that due to his health situation, he won’t be able to complete his Justice World Tour.
“Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed. As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour,” he wrote in his Instagram story.
“After resting and consulting with my doctors, family, and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil.”
The 28-year-old superstar performed in Brazil over the weekend and according to him, ‘exhaustion overtook him.’
“After getting off the stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realize that I need to make my health the priority right now.”
After a two-month hiatus, Bieber resumed his world tour in Italy on July 31 and performed seven shows. However, on September 4, after his performance at Rock in Rio music festival, the singer decided to culminate his tour.
