Kevin Federline Says Jamie Spears Saved Britney’s Life with Conservatorship

Recently, Britney Spear’s ex-husband Kevin Federline appeared in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia and said her conservatorship was necessary for her good.

As we all know, that Toxic Pony singer was placed into a conservatorship – all her personal or professional life decisions were under her father’s control, even her finances.

Federline, who shares two sons with Spears, stated that her father, Jamie Spears saved her life by taking control of everything.

“One hundred percent, I feel like he saved her back then,” he said.

“I wasn’t involved in any of it how the conservatorship came about. I don’t know. They were worried about their daughter and tried to do whatever they could to help her. That’s all that I knew,” he added.

According to Daily Mail, the former backing dancer said that his and Britney’s boys Sean and Jayden were ‘happy’ for their mom when her conservatorship ended last year.

“Both of them were so happy for her, you know? Because it’s not always about what’s right. It’s about this is what mum wanted, you know, mum got.”

“They’re my kids’ immediate family, you know. That’s their grandfather and their grandmother and their uncle,” he further said.

“I feel that it’s very important that they have relationships with all of them, regardless of what happens.”

In another interview, the former couple’s teenage son Jayden, 15, said that his grandfather, Jamie, wanted the best for his daughter.

“He was trying to be like any father, like pursue his daughter’s dream of being a superstar, working and doing all these concerts and performing. But I think some people are just, like, ceasing to realize how much he cares about her.”

Jayden, an aspiring musician, and talented pianist, also explained why he and his elder brother Sean didn’t attend Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari.

“I’m really happy for them. But, like, I mean… She didn’t invite the whole family, and then if it was going to be me and Preston, like, I don’t see how that situation would have ended on good terms.”

Previously, in a series of interviews with ITV, Kevin revealed that despite being co-parents to their sons, they hadn’t seen Britney in quite a long time.

“The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

“In fact, given her situation and state of mind, I believe the controversial 13-year conservatorship by her father Jamie ‘saved’ her in so many ways.” He added.

“This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else,’ he says. It’s been tough. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”

Last November, after being released from the arrangement controlling her personal and professional life for so many years, Britney resorted to posting explicit pictures on Instagram, including her nudes.

Kevin said her sons don’t feel comfortable posting her nudes on social media with their mother.

“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”
