The Titanic star, 48, is not happy with his reputation of exclusively dating women under the age of 25.
A source close to DiCaprio recently revealed that he does not enjoy people’s jokes about his love life. Every time he gets photographed with a young lady, everyone speculates that he is dating that person.
The insider added that Leo wants a ‘real relationship’ in his life similar to his connection with the American model Camila Morrone.
“Leo is very single right now and he is not keen on the hype suggesting that he is seeking out these very young women,” the insider revealed to DailyMail.
“He is looking for something more mature in the relationship department.”
The source added, “It is just ridiculous because he cannot go anywhere without being linked to the youngest beautiful woman there. He wants to ditch this image once and for all and he is really bothered that this continues to follow him.”
“Leo wants something like he had with Camila, something real.”
For the past many years, the actor has had a strong reputation for only dating women under the age of 25, and because of that, he is always in the news and becomes a meme whenever he gets pictured with a new girl under 25.
DiCaprio dated Morrone, 25, for almost five years and broke up just a few months after her 25th birthday. Was it a coincidence?
The duo started dating back in 2017 when Camila was only 20 and DiCaprio was 42.
According to The Sun, a source said, “Leo and Camila ended their relationship over the summer.
“There are no bad feelings between them. It just came to a natural conclusion.”
The news came out just days after Morrone was spotted enjoying vacation with her mother in ST-Tropez.
According to PEOPLE, in July 2019, an insider told the outlet that Leo and Camila were pretty serious about their relationship. “It’s definitely not a casual relationship. Camila spends a lot of time at his house. Camila is long known as Leo’s girlfriend. And Leo introduced her to both of his parents long ago.”
“Then, in June 2020, a source said DiCaprio ‘loves being with’ Morrone as they ‘spent 24/7’ with each other amid the pandemic lockdown. ‘They are very close,’ wrote PEOPLE.
The duo also spent this year’s Fourth of July together at a beach in Malibu.
In December 2019, Camila spoke to Los Angeles Times and opened up about her ‘huge’ age difference with Leo, “There are so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
“I feel like there should always be an identity besides whom you’re dating…. I understand the association, but I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation.” She added while referring to the fact that people gave him attention just because she was dating the Leonardo DiCaprio.
After her holiday photos went viral on social media last week, fans learned that Camila’s mother, Lucila Sola is younger than her now ex-boyfriend, Leo.
Following his split from Camila, the superstar also sparked romance rumors with Gigi Hadid in September 2022.
Given his long history of dating women under the age of 25; fans were quite surprised when back in September, they learned that he was going out with the American model and TV personality Gigi Hadid.
Unlike his other girlfriends, Hadid was an exception, as she is 27 years old and a mother of a 2-year-old.
In September, Leo and Gigi made headlines after they were spotted getting cozy with each other in New York.
“The Oscar winner, 47, and supermodel Gigi Hadid, 27, have been hanging out in New York City,” PEOPLE reported at that time.
“They are getting to know each other but haven’t reportedly started dating yet,” a source revealed.
“Leo is definitely pursuing Gigi,” another source told the publication.
Later in December 2022, Leo was spotted getting cozy with actress Victoria Lamaze, daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, who is only 23, was born two years after Leo’s blockbuster Titanic movie, and perfectly fits his pre-Gigi dating pattern.
According to Daily Mail, “Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, enjoyed a cozy date with actress Victoria Lamas, 23, in Hollywood on Tuesday. The pair left The Birds Street Club separately before climbing into a car together, where Leo was seen laughing and joking.”
However, Page Six reported that a source close to the situation revealed that despite hanging out together, they are not a couple as of now.
“Both were seated (not next to each other) at a big group dinner,” an insider hushed. “They were also joined by a number of other people in the car.”
However, the Shutter Island star welcomed 2023 by partying with his new girlfriend, Victoria Lamas, in St. Barts.
“The “Titanic” star, 48, and his rumored new flame, 23, were partying on a yacht in celebration of New Year’s Eve,” a source told Page Six, “fueling even more romance rumors.”
Earlier this month, Leonardo was pictured sitting with a 19-year-old Israeli model, Eden Polani, at Ebony Riley’s release party for her new EP.
“Seemingly missing from the event was Leo’s current girlfriend Victoria Lamas, who at 23 is 25 years his junior and almost half his age,” Daily Mail wrote.
