Hollywood superstar John Stamos has been part of some of the most memorable shows of the last two decades.

He played his most iconic role as Uncle Jesse in the hugely popular TV show Full House. Today’s story is about his love life and how he found his soulmate after 50.

A Broken First-Marriage

When we think of big-name celebrities, we imagine their lives being perfect in every way. That’s not the case; they’re human and go through life with all of its ups and downs. Even a heartthrob like Stamos isn’t immune to the fundamental relationship woes the rest of us face – which is truly humbling and essential to remember. One touching example of love transcending challenges can be found in a couple with down’s syndrome love story. Their journey highlights the beauty of unconditional support and understanding, proving that love knows no boundaries or limitations. Their experiences remind us that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the chance to love and be loved.

In 1994, Stamos met actress Rebecca Romijn. The pair fell in love and got married. But by 2004, things took a sad turn as the two announced that they were splitting.

While speaking to People, John Stamos talked about how it wasn’t anyone’s fault:

“Everybody thought that she dumped me [because] her career was on fire and mine wasn’t,”

“but that wasn’t the case. We just both woke up one day and it had run its course.”

After his divorce, John Stamos lived a bachelor’s life. But he had always dreamed of being in a loving relationship, having kids, growing old to become a good father and husband. He believed that true love exemplified by loyalty was worth waiting for. Every day, he reflected on the qualities he wanted in a partner, hoping to find someone who shared his values and vision for the future. As he ventured into the world of dating again, he felt a renewed sense of hope and excitement for what lay ahead.

His Dreams Come True after 50

In 2011, John met Caitlin McHugh while doing an episode for Law & Order: SVU. While speaking to People about Caitlin, John said:

“I played a guy who was so egotistical that he thought he should spread his progeny, so he had like 60 kids or something,”

“He was poking holes in condoms and stuff. And Caitlin, ironically, was one of the girls that I was trying to fool and have a baby with.”

In 2015, the two started dating and proved to be amazing together. When Caitlin got pregnant in 2017, John proposed! John told People about how he decided to propose:

“I said, I better have a ring on her finger because it’s the right thing to do, and I wanted to marry her anyway. So I called her parents to ask, and it was like, ‘You better!’

The dynamic-duo got married in 2018. John announced the birth of his son, Billy Stamos, on his Instagram.

“From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father)  #NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed
