The Hulk actor asks his fans to pray for his buddy, Jeremy Renner, who recently went through a weather-related accident.
The 51-year-old Marvel star suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries while plowing snow near his home in Lake Tahoe on January 1.
A spokesperson of Renner stated that the actor has undergone two surgeries following the accident and remains in critical but stable condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
The actor has been hospitalized in Nevada, where he was taken after getting critically injured.
“As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Renner’s representative, Sam Mast, told CNN in a statement.
“His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care.”
According to CNN, “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families.”
“They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
The source also said that Jeremy’s injuries are ‘extensive.’
According to PEOPLE, the Hawkeye actor was airlifted to the hospital after getting seriously injured.
“At approximately 9:00 am on January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada.”
“Upon arrival, Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital.”
On January 2, Renner’s longtime Marvel co-star and friend, Mark Ruffalo, took to his Instagram and asked fans to pray for his speedy recovery.
“Prayers up for our brother on a full and speedy recovery,” Ruffalo wrote in his story. “Please send healing goodness his way.”
Mark and Jeremy appeared together in several Avengers films, including the original 2012 movie, The Avengers, Infinity War, Age of Ultron, Civil War, and Endgame.
Since the accident, Marvel fans have been taking to Twitter and posting messages of hope, prayers, and support for Renner.

“I can’t sleep after hearing the news about Jeremy Renner. I’m legit sad & scared. To our partner in crime, our favorite Avenger. Prayers to you & your Family. Really praying for speedy recovery…C’mon Hawkeye! We need you!” one fan wrote.
“Thinking of Jeremy Renner,” another fan wrote alongside a few photos of the Marvel actor.
Actress Sarah Joy Brown wrote, “I’m worried about Jeremy Renner & praying for him to make a full recovery.”
“Please let Jeremy Renner live. He is the best option to play Zelensky when they finally make a movie about this crazy time in history. And he is a treasure. Hope he recovers quickly!!!” someone wrote.
