Michael Buble is a Canadian singer whose name needs no introduction. The four-time Grammy Award winner has sold over 65 million records during his career and is also known for helping renew public interest and appreciating traditional pop standards.
The 46-year-old musician shares four children with his wife, Luisana Lopilato – Noah, 9, Elias, 6, Vida, 4, and Cielo, whom they welcomed in August.
Buble’s life took an unexpected turn in 2016 when his eldest son, Noah, was diagnosed with liver cancer at age 3.
The little boy had undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy to get rid of his cancer. Speaking about his son’s illness in 2018, the Sway singer said it was the most difficult time of his life, and he was still healing from the trauma he went through by thinking his son could lose his life in the battle against cancer.
“It sucks, and it still sucks. What we went through is the worst possible thing you can go through as a parent and maybe as a human being,” he told Australia’s Today Show.
He added, “I much rather would have it have been me. Many times I wish that it had been.”
“Some days when we wished we didn’t wake up when we did, we felt the love of those people,” Bublé recalled while thanking his fans for their immense love and support in his difficult time.
In July 2022, Noah, who is doing a lot better now and is in remission, surprised his star daddy by playing a piano rendition of his song, ‘I’ll Never Not Love You.’
In a video shared by Michael on his Instagram, the father-son could be seen reliving the song. Noah played the piano while a very emotional and surprised Bublé sang the hit song.
“Noah surprised me after I was away on tour. He worked so hard to learn this song. I am so proud of my little guy,” the text on Bublé’s video read.
The award-winning singer fought back the tears as he sang the song while little Noah played the beautiful tune on his piano.
“More talent in his little fingers than I have in my whole body!!” Buble captioned his video on Instagram.
The It’s Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas hitmaker could be seen shaking his head, pointing to his son, and holding back tears with a big bright smile on his face as he watched him play his song.
Bublé’s heartwarming video was showered with a plethora of lovely comments, and all his fans and followers applauded the then-8-year-old Noah for his lovely effort.
“Couldn’t stop smiling watching this man!! Love it,” American TV personality Michael Strahan commented.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying,” wrote Hayley Erbert.
“That is soooo great!!” David Foster said.
“Thank you for sharing. Priceless…. I lost my only son Feb 2022 at 36 forever. Natural causes. Miss him every day. Love your children and tell them every day. Love you,” one fan wrote.
“Goosebumps!!!!! Seriously, wow!!!! Take him on tour!” another said.
Buble’s wife and Noah’s mom, Luisana Lopilato, also commented on the beautiful video and wrote, “My baby!!”
