Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis make one of Hollywood’s most loved and hot favorite couples.
The actors first met on the set of ‘That 70s Show’ when Kunis was 14 and Kutcher was 20. The show aired in 1998; however, the duo hooked up in real life in 2010.
According to People, Mila’s first ever kiss was with Ashton – on that 70s show.
In 2001, she told the outlet that during the show’s filming, they were just two strangers performing their parts, but she had a massive crush on Kutcher.
“I was like, ‘Oh, he’s so cute, it’s the Calvin Klein model. Then I was like, ‘I have to kiss him?’ I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him.”
Reportedly, Ashton was unaware of her ‘first ever kiss’ scenario, and he later stated that he was glad he didn’t know it then.
“I’m the first guy she kissed? Oh my god, I had no idea,” he told People. “I’m so glad I didn’t know that, or it would’ve been too much pressure.”
Interestingly, Kunis was 14, while the director needed to cast someone at least 18 years old. So, she lied to the casting director and somehow managed to secure the role.
“I told them I was gonna be 18, which, you know — I’ve said this story before — it’s not technically a lie, cause at one point— given all things went right — I was gonna be 18. They figured out sooner or later that I wasn’t, but that’s OK.”
In 2012 E! reported that according to their fellow actor Kurtwood Smith, initially, it was a bit awkward for Ashton to get comfortable with Mila on the set as she was ‘too young.’
“Of course, they played boyfriend and girlfriend, but they had completely separate lives … Mila was a kid. That was awkward for Ashton at the beginning. He was like 19, and she was like 14 or 15.”
In 2005, Kutcher left that 70s show, and the two lost contact on-screen; however, Mila later told Elle that she kept in touch with him after he left.
“When we first ran into each other, we’d always kept in touch on like AIM. So, we always kept in touch since after ”70s.'”
“But at that point, I wasn’t thinking about him ‘romantically.’”
In September 2005, Kutcher tied the knot with the G.I.Jane actress Demi Moore and became a step-father to her three girls.
Meanwhile, Mila started dating Macaulay Culkin but ended her relationship with him in 2011.
The same year, in 2011, Demi and Ashton announced their divorce, and with that began the official Kunis Kutcher Love Story!
In 2012, Mila saw Ashton at an award show but only looked at him from the back and didn’t know it was ‘him.’
“I was looking around, and there was a really beautiful man from the back. I was literally like, ‘Oh, he’s kinda hot.’ … And then he turned around, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s Kutch.'” She told Marc Maron on his podcast.
“I thought it was the weirdest thing that I was checking this guy out, and it was someone that I had known forever.”
The two had a fun time together at the ceremony and by the end of it, Kutcher invited her to his housewarming party.
Later, when they met at the housewarming party, both actors felt a spark between them and decided to hook up.
“It was the first time ever that I ever slept over at a guy’s house since becoming single, Mila told Marc Maron.“When I was single, I was so adamant about never staying at a guy’s house that I was like peacing out. And he was like, ‘You’re not leaving.’ And that was the first time [I didn’t.]”
By April 2012, the couple seriously fell for each other and decided to move in together.
In 2014, after the finalization of Ashton’s divorce from Moore, he announced his engagement with Mila.
Later in October 2014, the duo welcomed their daughter, Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher.
Us Weekly wrote that on the birth of his daughter Kutcher said, “It’s unbelievable. It’s the greatest thing on Earth. We’re really privileged that we have time and can afford to take time. So we don’t have a nanny or a night nurse of any of the stuff. It’s just the two of us.”
Finally, in 2015, they got married in a private ceremony in Oak Glen, California.
“Commitment sounded great, but I didn’t believe in marriage,” Mila told Glamour in 2016.
“I grew up in West Hollywood, and my brother has reminded me that when I was like 12, I said, ‘When gay people can get married, then I’ll get married.’ I was ahead of my time. The Supreme Court decision [on same-sex marriage came down], and that’s when Ashton and I got married.”
In November 2016, the couple welcomed their second baby – son Dimitri.
The couple often makes public appearances together and regularly participates in charity work as well. Theirs is undoubtedly a Match Made in Heaven!
