This horrendous story comes from Chesterfield, England – where an Uber Eats delivery man is caught through a Ring doorbell camera where he can be seen scratching his crotch before delivering McDonald’s.
Wait, What?
Alex Wright is a 22-year-old mother-of-one; she ordered McDonald’s one night and saw the Uber Eats driver through her doorbell camera, where he was trying to fix his pants and then started scratching his crotch while holding her food in his other hand.
Alex then asked Uber Eats for a refund which they said would be given soon, but she is yet to receive it. Alex is a hardworking mother; she had a long day at work and didn’t want to drive to McDonald’s to get food before coming home.
Alex Wright talks about what happened:
“Initially I saw the funny side of it and had a giggle to myself before realising how physically disgusting it was, to the point I couldn’t eat the food.”
“I’d usually drive to pick it up but after a long day I just really couldn’t be bothered to go out again. I had the notification that the driver was here and went straight to my doorbell app to see he found the house okay.”
“We live in a dark corner and it’s not immediately obvious which house he would be delivering to. I saw it all live and it lasted a good 45 seconds to a minute.”
Alex initially didn’t think much of it, but after the images kept coming back in her mind, she started feeling disgusted about the food she ordered. She continues:
“then I started to think about different scenarios, such as a waiter in a restaurant walking over with my plate of food whilst scratching his genitals.”
“He’s not physically handling my food but it’s still disgusting.”
“I complained to Uber Eats and it was escalated to the senior support team. I received a phone call on Saturday from a lady who has put a block on the driver so he doesn’t come here again.”
“I was told I’d get a £12.45 refund which I’m yet to receive.”
While a spokesperson at Uber Eats had this to say about the incident:
“Food safety is our top priority here at Uber Eats. Couriers working with us are expected to follow our community guidelines on delivering orders and are asked to maintain good personal hygiene to help ensure the safety of food. We are currently investigating this report.”

gross what a pig he should have been let go. They should have paid for her food too. I will never use them because of that.
