British Man Says His Family Wants Him to stop sending £400 a Month to His Fiancée Who’s Already Married

An English man named Shaun has been asked by his family to stop sending hundreds of pounds to his fiancée, who lives in the Philippines.

41-year-old Shaun lives in Hampshire, UK has been in a romantic relationship with a woman named Christine, who lives almost 7000 miles away in Antipolo City, Philippines.

The couple started dating nearly eight years ago after interacting on the internet, and since then, they have been getting along quite well.

Although Christine lives thousands of miles away, Shaun says he is ‘head over heels’ in love with her.

The couple shares one son named Christian. Christine also had three other children from her previous relationship.

According to Shaun, he and Christine have plans to get married very soon, and he is very excited about his marriage.

He also said that in order to help her with all her expenses and kids’ responsibilities, Shaun sends her £400 monthly.

“From all these eight years I’ve been with Christine, I wouldn’t know how much money I would have sent her.”

“But all I know is it’s in the hundreds of thousands. It’s worth every penny.”

“After I’ve sent Christine the money, there’s enough for me to pay my bills at least, and then when I look again, I’ve got about £50-£60 for myself, and that’s more than enough to see me through the month.”

He said that Christine is still married, and due to her financial situation, she hasn’t been able to get a divorce yet, so he had been sending her money every month so she could complete the legal process and get an official divorce from the court.

“I don’t have the money, but I am going to be saving up for it, and then we can get married.”

“Yes, they’re still married, but they don’t live with each other. I don’t feel jealous about it, because I know she loves me, and I love her.”

According to the Unilad, Shaun’s family and friends are not very pleased with his long-distance relationship with Christine and advised him to reconsider his decision several times.

However, Shaun said that he loves Christine and doesn’t really care what other people think about their relationship.

“When I started sending her money, my parents and all my friends started saying, ‘Why are you sending her money?’”

“But, to be honest with you, I don’t really care, I’m following my heart. It’s my choice. So, you either be part of me in the circle, or you’re not.”

He said that he has even told her parents to stop meddling with his affairs.

“Well, one it’s got nothing to do with you, and two, mind your own business.”

“What the heart wants, the heart gets. Alright? I chose this path for me.”

Speaking about their relationship, Christine said,

“Shaun and I are hoping for the best future for Christian – not just for Christian, but also for my other children.”

“I love him and I like him because he embraced my imperfections. He loves me in a package, together with my children and my exes!”

  1. This story cannot be real.
There is no such thing as divorce in the Philippines. It is a staunch Catholic country that forbids divorce. The closest they can get is an annulment by the Church. It can take several years and cost thousands of pounds to secure an annulment.

  2. Good luck to him. Hope she’ll treat him right. If not, he can go to Mr. Raffy Tulfo he helps whoever needs help. Wish them for the best out come. Yeah for now there’s no divorce but there’s an annulment. On the other hand I can’t blame his family they are just concerned especially with his financial.
