Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, shared a sweet throwback snap of the music icon with his three children on Father’s Day.
The snap included Paris, her late dad, and her two siblings, Prince and Bigi, standing in the kitchen.
The photo showed the Thriller singer holding Bigi in his arm while Parish and Prince seemed to be baking on the Kitchen counter. The rare photo was a repost by a fan account to honor the King of Pop on Father’s Day.
“Happy fathers day,” she wrote under the post.
The tribute comes as the 14th anniversary of the legendary pop star approaches next week – Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest due to Propofol – a surgical drug overdose, on June 25, 2009.
The Heal the World singer shares Prince, 26, and Paris, 26, with his ex-wife, Debbie Rowe. Jackson had his three children, daughter Bigi now 21, with a surrogate.
While his kids prefer not to talk about their superstar singer dad in public, Prince once shared an Instagram post to mark what was supposed to be his late father’s 64th birthday.
“Happy birthday to the greatest! Miss you more and more, but I love you more and more with each day,” he wrote. “Thank you for everything.”
Like her father, Paris also decided to pursue music as a career – she is now a folk singer and songwriter and recently played at the 2023 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.
According to Daily Mail, “Paris was among the many musical artists to grace the stage at the festival, which was headlined by the Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, and ODESZA.”
“The festival also featured artists including Lil Nas X, Sheryl Crow, Portugal. The Man, Three 6 Mafia, Hanson and the Pixies, among others.”
The 25-year-old released her first solo album, Wilted, in November 2020 and has dropped a couple of singles following the release of her EP, The Lost, in February 2022.
Speaking in a rare interview with the Evening Standard back in 2021, Paris said that even though her’s and her father’s music genres are very different, she still keeps his decade-spanning brilliant discography and his teachings in mind to excel as a singer.
“We were lucky enough to be raised with solid morals,” she said.
Recalling a moment from her childhood about his father, Paris added, “He would be like, ‘Oh, you want to go to Toys ‘R’ Us and get five toys? Great. You need to read five books – and I will test you on those books.”
