The teen was found lifeless in his $950,000, one-bedroom apartment in the Cipriani Club Residences on Wall Street.

He was found dead, sitting in his chair. According to Daily Mail, an insider revealed that there was a white powdery substance present in a plate near the dead Leo and there was no sign of trauma.

Leo was found dead by one of his friends, who was checking in on him after receiving no response from him for days.

“The concierge at 55 Wall Street confirmed that Leandro lived in the building. He’d lived alone in the upscale sixth-floor apartment, renting the unit for less than a year, he said. The apartment is located in the same stone building as Cipriani, a luxury venue for events,” wrote Daily Mail.

He said Leo was a friendly man who always said hello whenever he saw him.

“I’d see him every now and then, and he’d always say hi,” the concierge said. “He just was friendly, kept to himself. I didn’t know who he was until I read the story. It’s a tragedy. I was just talking to my coworker that said my daughter just turned 20. You see his (Leandro’s) picture, he was a baby.”

The concierge said he has never seen De Niro at the apartment.

Leandro was following his mum and grandfather’s footsteps and was pursuing a career in acting. The teen appeared in multiple roles alongside his mother including A Star Is Born (2018), The Collection (2005), and Cabaret Maxime (2018).

  1. So sad and heartbreaking for his family. Sending condolences to them. And these reporters need to do a better job at reporting these stories. This young man died and for some reason you feel the need to add the cost of his apartment, which is completely irrelevant. Be more professional.
