Sharon Stone Shares Her Distress of Losing Nine Children Through Miscarriages

Recently the American actress Sharon Stone has shared that she lost nine children through miscarriages.

The 64-year-old actress is known for playing femme fatales and women of mystery on film and TV. After doing several modeling projects on Television, she made her film debut as an extra in Stardust Memories.

She became popular in the 1990s, and her notable projects include, Basic Instinct, Casino, The Quick and the dead, The Flight Attendant, Law & Order Special, and Sliver.

Earlier this week, the actress spoke up about the most painful phase of her life. She commented on an Instagram post shared by People, featuring an exclusive interview with the professional Latin dancer, Peta Murgatroyd, who opened up about her miscarriage that happened when her husband was in Ukraine.

The Dancing With The Stars performer shared that she lost her pregnancy with her husband, Maks Chmerkovskiy.

“I was completely embarrassed, ultimately ashamed. I didn’t even know how to utter the words and have that sentence come out of my mouth: I had a miscarriage,” Murgatroyd said about her first miscarriage.

“I’m somebody who prides herself on health and wellness. I exercise every single day. But as I came to realize, that doesn’t really go hand-in-hand with the reproductive system.”

Responding to Peta’s statement, Stone commented,

“We, as females don’t have a forum to discuss the profundity of this loss. I lost nine children by miscarriage, It is no small thing, physically nor emotionally yet we are made to feel it is something to bear alone and secretly with some kind of sense of failure.”

She said, “Instead of receiving the much-needed compassion, empathy, and healing which we need. Female health and wellness left to the care of the male ideology have become lax at best, ignorant in fact, and violently oppressive in the effort.”

According to Daily Mail, this isn’t the first time the Casino star is opening up about her painful experiences with motherhood. In 2021, she applauded the ‘Global Sisterhood’ for speaking up on issues of loss and heartache.

She said that she went through thirty-six hours of painful labor alone.

While talking about her experiences in a BBC Sounds interview, the actress said that,

“It’s a devastating experience, and I have to say I was really grateful to Chrissy Teigen for allowing us to publicly share what she went through.”

‘When I lost my last baby, and then went back to the hospital and had 36 hours of labor on my own too.” She continued. “Of course, birth nothing – and the nurses that had been in the hospital with me two days before when they removed the last baby came in and sat with me on their day off.”

“I really felt such a strong sense of sisterhood and understanding. Because I would have been alone, and that’s such an alone feeling anyway.”

After suffering nine pregnancy losses with husband Phil Bonstein, the actress decided to adopt children – she is now a mother of three boys named Quinn Kelly, Laird Vonne, and Roan Joseph.
