The legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is officially over now; the case has been closed with the jury’s decision in favor of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.
Apart from all the shreds of evidence and testimonies, major credit for Johnny’s success goes to his firebrand attorney, Camille Vasquez.
Johnny has been represented by a team of lawyers from a leading international law firm, Brown Rudnick. Other than Vasquez, the team consisted of Ben Chew, Stephanie Calnan, Andrew Crawford, Rebecca MacDowell Lecaroz, Yarelyn Mena, Jessica Meyers, and Samuel Moniz.
The 37-year-old lawyer played a crucial role in Depp’s win. She was prominent on her team and gained massive appreciation from the public for asking tough questions in the court.
As the trial was televised live on YouTube and other websites, millions of fans across the globe followed it.
People watched Vasquez cross-examining Amber Heard on the stand and destroying the actress with her solid arguments.
Fans loved her and called her “THE REAL QUEEN” in the courthouse.
Netizens shared videos of Camille when she interrupted Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, during arguments and bombarded her with counter-arguments.
And with Depp’s success, Vasquez has become the hottest internet sensation – she is more of a celebrity now!
According to The New York Post, several major law agencies approached Vasquez after the trial and offered her to join them.
“Talent agents are circling Camille because they recognize that she is the unicorn — a smart, savvy, poised attorney whose impactful performance during the trial propelled her to a rare level of visibility, and the fact that she is a woman of color is an added bonus.”
She is currently working as an associate lawyer at the Brown Rudnick and is expected to receive a promotion soon.
Celebrity lawyer Judd Burstein, who represents famous singer and songwriter Nicki Minaj, shared his views on the trial. He believes Camille Vasquez will soon become a partner.
While talking to the news outlet, he said, “No firm would allow her to have a role in a big trial like this if she wasn’t on the partner track.”
“There are two factors that go into making a partner – your quality of lawyering and ability to attract business.
“She can probably go anywhere and make a nice deal for herself,” Judd added.
The outlet stated that a legal source backed up Burstein’s statement.
“The legal community is buzzing with firms fighting to be the highest bidder for Camille to join their team,” the source said. “She’s a shark, and her performance in the trial showed it.”
While the other firms are trying their best to get Vasquez on board, her firm Brown Rudnick stated that they were always aware of her capabilities and had complete faith in her.
“We are thrilled that so many people are seeing what we’ve known for years: that Camille Vasquez is a star.”
Meanwhile, some reports claim that the celebrity lawyer has also received offers from Hollywood, but there’s no chance she will accept any.
